Why we like the Geekom AX8 Max Silent Mini PC
Impressive home-office and mixed-use specs
The Geekom AX8 Mini PC is a compact, space-saving system with strong performance for daily home office tasks, creative work, and even casual gaming. It features the AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS, an 8-core, 16-thread processor, including AMD’s impressive Radeon 780M graphics, backed by 16GB of DDR5 and a spacious 1TB of storage. Ultimately, it’s a good alternative if you want a compact home or home office PC that is not gaming-focused.
Excellent connectivity
Given its size, you may expect the AX8 Mini to lack connectivity options. It does have less space for ports, but it still packs in a lot. The PC offers 2x USB 4.0 Type-C, 6x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, 1x USB 2.0, 2x RJ45 (2.5G), 1x 3.5mm stereo headset jack, and 2x HDMI. USB 4.0 connectivity supports eGPUs for added graphical performance, and the system supports up to 4x 8K displays via USB4 and HDMI.

‘Silent’ performance for better focus
It’s in the name, and Amazon owners agree the AX8 Max Silent Mini PC is very, very quiet. Geekom says that its IceBlast 2.0 cooling system delivers up to 50% less fan noise than other mini PCs. That enables the PC’s two noise/power modes, too: Quiet Mode (low-power) for better focus, and Normal mode for better performance.
What to consider before you buy
The Geekom AX8 Max Silent Mini PC is an impressive bit of kit for home or office desktop tasks. It isn’t a gaming PC, although it supports eGPUs to straddle that gap, but it has plenty of potential for work, study, creativity, and even casual gaming. So if you want a small-footprint business or home PC, this looks to be a fine deal, thanks to good connectivity, multiple display support, and more. While it has been priced lower before, it’s at its lowest since October of last year. And that makes this discount very much worth a look.
