Excellent LG 34″ ultrawide monitor spotted at its 90-day low price on Amazon — a quality productivity pick for less
Table of Contents
If you’re looking for an ultrawide monitor that doesn’t completely break the bank but still ticks all the most important boxes, then you’ll want to check out this discounted LG model on Amazon right now. It’s currently 27% off and down to $219.99, which is its 90-day low price, too, making it a great time to go for it.
Now, this isn’t a super complex monitor with loads of high-end bells and whistles to get your head around, so here’s a quick run-through of what you’re getting here. It’s 34 inches, which is the smallest ultrawide size you can get, and also the most affordable for obvious reasons. This size is great if you’re trying to keep costs down, but also grab something with more screen real estate that won’t completely take over your desk. It features a 1800R curve, which is very subtle but still noticeable. This is great as it’s not too steep that it makes the monitor impractical for creative work or consuming content.
As for the resolution, it’s WQHD, which is essentially QHD but with a bit more on the sides. At this size, its pixel density is still going to be pretty high, which means you can enjoy crips and clear picture quality, read text easily, and make intricate edits without having to shell out for something higher resolution.

Now, this monitor is mainly a productivity display, but it does have a couple of features that make it a viable option for gaming, like a 120Hz refresh rate or Black Stabilizer, for example. Its refresh rate theoretically could be good for high FPS gaming, but I’d just see it as a win for video editing, as it will allow you to watch content at up to 120fps. It’s also good for everyday navigation, resulting in a smoother overall experience.
How is it for creative work? It’s okay, but not mind-blowing. This has 99% sRGB color coverage, which is decent for web design, but for video editing, it’s better to have something with at least 95% DCI-P3. Deal-killer? No, not if you’re mainly using this for productivity and a bit of gaming.
Other standout features
Reader mode
Reduces blue light and applies warmer hues for nighttime or extended sessions. This can be a game-changer for reducing eye-strain, in my experience.
LG Switch App
The big thing here is that this monitor can easily divide different windows into sections in practically any way you like. It’s basically like having a multi-monitor setup, but without having to buy extra displays.
