This Samsung 37-inch Odyssey G7 4K monitor is going for its lowest price in 30 days on Amazon, with 39% off its list price, coming in at $549.99.
This monitor brings a fair bit to the table for the price, ticking all the most important boxes for picture quality and gaming performance, without being overkill or overly expensive. First off, it’s a fairly unique size at 37 inches, which is notably larger than your typical 32-inch 4K models. With its curved display, it makes for an expansive and immersive monitor for gaming, with enough screen real estate to easily accommodate multiple windows. The curvature is 1000R, which is on the more aggressive side and better suited to gaming than, say, design work and productivity.
Samsung 37” Odyssey G7 (G75F) 4K
The screen here is VA and LED, so you’re getting something with a decent 3000:1 contrast ratio for pretty deep blacks and more lifelike visuals. It’s rated VESA DisplayHDR 600, which lands it in the mid-tier for HDR performance. For cinematic games, movies, and anything else in HDR, this is going to showcase them well, without costing as much as an OLED. Color is decent, coming in at 90% DCI-P3 and 99% sRGB. Good enough to make everything look vibrant and punchy, and just on the borderline for more critical creative work.

Gaming performance is excellent here, leaning more towards smooth gameplay in 4K rather than flat-out competitive esports. It’s 165Hz with a 1ms response time and has FreeSync Premium Pro. That’s a very strong, premium combination for gaming, with Premium Pro in particular supporting smoother HDR performance.
Notably, this monitor features Samsung’s stylish aRGB lighting system built into the back of the monitor, which gives it an extra premium touch and a bit more visual interest. This CoreSync lighting can be synced with what’s happening on screen, or set to whatever color you like.
Why this Samsung 37-inch Odyssey G7 could be right for you
A good alternative to ultrawide
This monitor gives you that sense of immersion, but without compromising on higher 4K resolution.
You don’t want to blow your budget on a mini-LED or OLED
Mini-LED and OLED monitors are great, but can be very expensive. This monitor provides a more affordable alternative, without too much compromise in picture quality.
You’ve got a good 4K-ready PC, but don’t need 240Hz
Not every 4K-ready gaming PC is the same, and if you’re generally playing at lower framerates and higher settings, this monitor is good as you’re not spending on a higher refresh rate you may never use.
