Get $200 off the Apple Mac Studio with M5 Max – a new low and likable price
Table of Contents
Apple’s impressive Mac Studio M5 Max was released in August. And if there’s one criticism that sticks, it’s the cost. The mini PC, featuring the incredibly powerful M5 Max chip, has a list price of $2,499. That is an investment even for professionals needing its capabilities. But an Amazon deal has cut the cost by $200, making the compact system $2,300. That’s the biggest discount so far, and the best price we’ve seen anywhere for the device.

Why we’d pick the Mac Studio with M5 Max
Powerful performance for creatives and AI users
Apple’s M5 Max chip is impressive enough that this system will be a worthy upgrade for owners of both the last-gen M4 Max and M4 Max predecessor, the M3 Ultra Mac Studio. The chip has an 18-core CPU with a 32-core GPU, and this base (deal) model comes with 36GB of unified memory. That’s plenty of performance for image and video-focused creatives, and the M5 Max’s Neural Engine is a gift for AI developers and workloads.
Exceptional connectivity
This is a compact desktop PC/mini PC, but the Mac Studio M5 Max has plenty of connectivity. It features four Thunderbolt 5 ports, two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, an SDXC card slot, a headphone jack, and you can connect up to five external displays. Plus, the Studio is equipped with the WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6 standards.

512GB of storage, 2x faster
This Mac Studio with M5 Max features a 512GB SSD. While storage isn’t exactly a strong suit here (technically it’s removable and upgradeable, but tricky), the SSD is reportedly 2x faster than the SSD in previous iterations of Mac Studio models. That’s a huge workflow bonus, especially for creatives, allowing faster project completion and quicker results.
What to consider before you buy
This is the first significant discount we’ve seen available for this Mac Studio model on Amazon. That means that larger savings may follow. However, given the cost of computer components in 2026, this really is a good deal to consider for creative professionals looking to boost productivity and performance.
