We’ve seen plenty of processors on sale during the Amazon Spring Sales; however, we can’t say the same for graphics cards, and they have retained their high price tags. However, we spotted this low-profile ASUS RTX 4060 on Amazon, which has its price slashed by 6%.

Originally, this GPU had a price tag of $374.99, but it is now available for $351.99. So, with this offer, you’ll save $23. In addition, we’ve also reviewed the RTX 4060, and while it was the ASUS ROG Strix RTX 4060 OC, we’ll showcase its performance so you have an idea about the level of performance to expect.

ASUS GeForce RTX™ 4060 LP BRK OC Edition

ASUS RTX 4060 LP BRK OC performance

While we haven’t tested this particular graphics card in-house, we have tested an RTX 4060, and here are the results.

Gaming performance

We ran a couple of games at 1080p and 1440p since these are the resolutions best suited for this graphics card. In Cyberpunk 2077, we got 77 FPS at 1080p and 48 FPS at 1440p. In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, we got 163 and 101 FPS, respectively. In Rainbow Six Siege, we got 392 FPS at FHD and 241 FPS at QHD.

So, it is more than capable of handling FPS and single-player games at both resolutions, but you might need to leverage DLSS 3 in more graphically demanding titles such as Cyberpunk 2077 to get a high FPS at 1440p.

Synthetic performance

We tested the synthetic performance of the RTX 4060 by running 3DMark, and we’ll take the output of Fire Strike Ultra and Time Spy Extreme as examples. We chose these because they work with DX11 and DX12 and gauge a card’s ability to render 4K frames. With that being said, we got 5,725 points in Fire Strike Ultra and 5,655 points in Time Spy Extreme.

These figures are on the lower end when it comes to graphics cards, and it isn’t surprising since this GPU isn’t cut out to push 4K. However, with the inclusion of DLSS 4, it might be easier for it to handle 4K gaming.

Should you get this graphics card?

If you’re operating on a budget and want a graphics card that gets the job done at 1080p or 1440p, then it is definitely worth considering. On top of that, it is a low-profile GPU which takes up 2 slots on the motherboard, meaning you can use the slots at the bottom for installing other components. It is also overclocked, so it should offer better performance than a non-OC RTX 4060, and due to its small size, it shouldn’t take up much space in your GPU, allowing for better airflow, and it is a perfect option to use in a low-profile gaming PC.
