Why this gaming laptop caught our attention
For starters, this gaming laptop is a solid mid-range offering thanks to the RTX 5070 and the Core Ultra 7 255HX. This processor and graphics card are the latest offerings that should deliver smooth operations regardless of the task at hand. Gaming should be a walk in the park with this hardware, as the RTX 5070 is perfect for 1440p gaming, and the 255HX shouldn’t cause a CPU bottleneck.

This works perfectly as the display has a 2560 x 1600 resolution (16:10 aspect ratio) and a 240Hz refresh rate, so the 5070 should be able to showcase its best performance. However, even with ray tracing, the output shouldn’t take a hit as long as you leverage DLSS 4 and MFG. The aspect ratio is something to be noticed as it provides more screen real estate, which should make the gaming and working experience more comfortable.
To ensure that this laptop doesn’t overheat, since that can be an issue with compact offerings, there is a liquid metal thermal compound paired with a 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fan for the best cooling. That being said, you can customize various aspects of this gaming laptop via PredatorSense.
This allows complete control over the system, and you can select between performance modes, control the fan speeds, RGB lighting, and other aspects. So, depending on what you want to do, you can unlock the full output or lower everything to a bare minimum to conserve the battery.
The 16GB DDR5 RAM might be a red flag for some, but we think it is okay, as it shouldn’t cause issues in gaming and work since it is much faster than DDR4. One thing to keep in mind is that it has a lot of RGB, so that might not make it the best option for a professional environment, but you should be able to turn them off.
