It looks like now is a great time to grab a Gigabyte gaming monitor for less, as I’ve come across a fair few deals at major retailers that are well worth checking out. Case in point, this Giganyte QHD WOLED gaming monitor is down to its best price ever on Amazon, and you’re getting a lot for your money here.

Its WOLED display delivers incredible contrast and color, with a significantly high peak brightness of 1500 nits, and it packs a RealBlack Glossy coating to bolster its picture quality even further. On top of that, it has a 280Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, and FreSync Premium Pro, which is a potent combination for high refresh rate gaming, HDR performance, and minimizing motion blur.

It may have a slightly lower refresh rate than some of the very top-end QHD QD-OLED monitors on the market, but it makes this monitor far more appropriate for most punchy 1440p gaming builds, rather than purely enthusiast-level rigs. For just $508.99, I think it’s a real winner for the price.

What we like about this Gigabyte W-OLED gaming monitor

4th-gen WOLED panel is a great alternative to QD-OLED

So WOLEDs are basically the way to go if you’re interested in a brighter OLED. It’s the type of panel that’s going to be great for intense contrast, as highlights will be notably bright (in this case up to 1500 nits), and that also assists with slightly improved general visability in well-lit rooms, too. With brighter displays, color tends to look more vibrant and punchy, too, which complements many modern games well.

High refresh rate, but not overkill

You’ve got a 280Hz refresh rate here, which is more than your typical 240Hz monitor, and not as extreme as your 360Hz alternatives. This gives you everything you’d need for fast-paced, competitive gaming at up to 280fps, and allows it to be priced well under 360Hz options, without being overly expensive for mid-level 1440p gaming PCs.

Low response time and FreeSync Premium Pro support smooth gaming performance

With a 0.03ms response time, you can expect very smooth on-screen motion with little to no motion blur and ghosting, which is a big win. On top of that, its FreeSync Premium Pro will ensure that when you’re gaming in HDR, it looks super smooth, too.

Its color is professional-creative worthy

You’ve got 99.5% DCI-P3 color here, which is great if you’re a video editor looking for something to make accurate edits, in line wth film industry standards.

AI-based burn-in protection

Sounds fancy, but it;s actually quute commmon nowadays. Basically, this monitor uses AI algorithms to identify burn-in threats and automatically adjust settings to prevent any damage from happening. You can also adjust these settings yourself if you wish to minimize any potential interruptions.

Glossy coating further enhances picture quality

This monitor’s RealBlack Glossy coating is super advanced, as it’s both anti-reflective and features a zero-haze optical layer, so you’re getting enhanced picture quality, in the form of visually darker blacks, bright highlights, and more vivid color, but without compromising on clarity.

Should you buy this gaming monitor?

At its current price, it’s a great way to go if you’re looking for something that delivers on outstanding picture quality, gaming performance, and packs solid burn-in protection. It’s also a cracking video editing monitor, too, in some respects, but its size may lend itself better to more casual content creators rather than fully fledged creative professionals. For the price, it’s a fair bit cheaper than your typical 360Hz OLED QHD monitor, which are usually at least $600, and that’s when they’re on sale. At its current price, I think this monitor makes a lot of sense.
