With the Amazon Spring Sale just about to end, now is the last chance for you to grab various PC components for less, and if you were looking for a mid-range processor with decent gaming performance and exceptional productivity, we recommend checking our the Core Ultra 7 265KF. It is currently on sale with 13% shaved off its price, dropping it from $389 to $339.99.
While the Arrow Lake processors don’t have the best gaming output, they make up for that in their multi-threaded performance, and in our Core Ultra 7 265K review, we experienced just that. The 265KF isn’t that far off from the 265K as they are almost the same, but the “KF” variant doesn’t have integrated graphics, meaning that you’ll need a GPU to boot up your PC.

Gaming performance
To gauge the gaming performance of the 265K, we paired it with the RTX 4070 Ti and ran Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p low settings. We got 191 FPS with the 265K, and it should also be the same with the 265KF if you pair it with a 4070 Ti. However, for comparison, the Ryzen 7 9700X managed 240 FPS, which is 22% better performance.

Synthetic performance
We ran Blender and other software to test the synthetic output of the 265K. In Blender Monter, the 265K managed 215.56 points while the 9700X trailed behind with 128.15 points, which is 50% better performance. On the other hand, in the CPU-Z multi-core test, the 265K delivered 15,395 points and the 9700X managed 8,199 points. This is a difference of 60%, which is huge, and certainly puts the 265K above the 9700X in productivity, and it should be the same for the 265KF.
Should you get this deal?
If you want a processor that can handle various professional tasks without breaking a sweat, the Core Ultra 265KF is an excellent option. While the gaming performance, comparatively, isn’t the best, 191 FPS at 1080p in Cyberpunk 2077 is still more than enough and should result in a smooth and seamless gaming experience. Besides that, it has good hardware that should enable it to complement the output of high-end graphics cards, and if you’re playing at 4K, you should get good results as UHD gaming is dependent on the GPU rather than the CPU.
