This TCL 75-inch F7D Series TV has hit its lowest price ever on Amazon, with a solid 14% discount bringing it down to $599.99. Now that is a seriously good price for a TV this big, and while it’s more of an entry-level, value-focused model, it still brings a lot to the table for the price.

What we like about this TCL 75-inch F7D Series TV

QLED packs a punch for the price

This TV does the basics well and is geared toward those who want big-screen viewing without breaking the bank. To that end, it’s not mini-LED or OLED, but rather QLED. This still means you’re getting punch, vibrant color, high brightness, and decent contrast, but not quite at the level of higher-end models.

Good for sports and casual gaming

Now on to motion and gaming performance. This TV has Motion Rate 240 with MEMC technology, which basically means that it can make fast-moving scenes look smoother. This is great if you’re watching sports, for obvious reasons. Gaming performance is decent here, but since it’s 60Hz, you’re capped at around 60fps at 4K. That being said, it does have a Game Accelerator 120 feature with VRR to help reduce screen tearing, and ALLM to reduce latency, which will help games play more smoothly and feel more responsive.

Comprehensive HDR support

Its HDR support is quite comprehensive, as it works with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG. With Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, this TV can essentially change its picture settings dynamically in specific films and shows for the best viewing experience.

Dolby Atmos and DTS:X/DTS Virtual:X support

On the audio front, it supports Dolby Atmos and has DTS:X/ DTS Virtual:X compatibility, which is great if you want to pair it with speakers or a soundbar for a more immersive 3D soundscape to complete your home entertainment setup.

Is this deal right for you?

This is a great TV for the price, so if your main priority is grabbing something huge for big-screen viewing for well under $1,000, then this is worth considering. If you want something with better picture quality and gaming performance, I’d suggest something like a low-end mini-LED from TCL. At this size, they can still be quite pricey, but they’ll give you improved contrast, HDR, and gaming performance, which may be worth it if your budget allows.
