If you’re a content creator, professional, or one member of a team or family that needs substantial storage, the UGreen DXP4800 Plus 4-Bay NAS may be the device for you. Capable of managing up to 144TB of digital storage, the DXP4800 is a bit of kit previously spotted at $700 on Amazon. However, the retailer’s Prime Big Deal Days event has cut the cost by $115, down to $584. Here’s why we like this 4-bay solution.

Why we like the UGreen DXP4800 Plus
Massive local storage
The UGreen DXP4800 Plus can manage up to 144TB of storage. That’s a huge amount of data, making it an ideal option for professionals, creators, and teams (or families) who need secure local storage. As UGreen points out, the capacity is approximately 50 million 1MB photos, 98K 1.5GB movies, or 5 million 30MB songs.
Locally secured data
It’s one thing to store data, but having it secure is vital. With the UGreen DXP4800 Plus, you’ll know exactly where your data is. There’s advanced encryption for added security. Plus, the NAS offers flexible file permissions, opening up customizable access to data; that’s useful if you’re collaborating or working as part of a team.

Device agnostic
Access your local, private cloud and data from any device. The UGreen DXP4800 Plus is wonderfully device-agnostic, so you can find what you need and share on Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS devices, and even web browsers and smart TVs. That is super useful when you think about it.
What to consider before you buy
The key thing to note here is that the UGreen DXP4800 Plus supports massive amounts of storage, but it doesn’t include drives, so you will need to allow for that extra expense. That’s an important point to consider for any NAS solution, though. In terms of device cost, this deal offers a much better price on the DXP4800 Plus than its recent high. However, if you’re a solo creator or PC user, the DXP2800 2-Bay may suit your needs more.
