I don’t need a gaming keyboard right now, but if I did, I’d pick the Razer BlackWidow V4 X. Right now it’s at its best price at Amazon, and it boasts a compelling mix of performance and features. The BlackWidow V4 X is a premium gaming keyboard with a list price of $130. That’s a high price to pay, so its current discount at Amazon is welcome, dropping it down to a more palatable $90. That also marks a return to the lowest price it’s seen so far.

Why we like the Razer BlackWidow V4 X mechanical keyboard

Rapid, durable keys

The BlackWidow V4 X uses yellow mechanical linear switches. For the uninitiated, this means super-quick, repeatable presses because the actuation and reset points are just 1.2mm apart, with fairly minimal (45g) force required. That’s great for Esports and competitive gaming, as are the durable Doubleshot ABS keycaps, reducing character and keyboard wear.

Dedicated macro keys
