If you’re on the hunt for a higher-spec RTX 5060 gaming laptop for a great price, then you’ll absolutely want to check out this Thunderobot Radiant 16. It’s just crashed to its lowest price ever on Amazon, through PCOnline US, and is now coming in at $1,699.00. Now that is a genuinely good price for a gaming laptop that’s more than a few levels above what you’d usually see around the $1,300 mark.
Typically, with RTX 5060 gaming laptops, you’re getting a fairly low core count CPU, but this configuration packs a beastly Intel i9-14900HX instead. It may be ‘last-gen’, but it’s a workstation and gaming powerhouse, featuring 24 cores, 32 threads, a 36MB L3 cache, and a boost clock speed of 5.8GHz. This makes this laptop fantastic for gaming at high refresh rates and brilliant for handling heavy multitasking and creative workloads. With 32GB of DDR5, creative, gaming, and multitasking should all feel smooth and responsive, too.

This laptop also one-ups the traditional FHD+ screen, opting for a QHD+ display with a huge 300Hz refresh rate instead. This gives you both better resolution and accommodates higher frame rates, too. It’s also 500 nits and has 100% sRGB color, making it bright enough to be clearly visible in well-lit environments, with color that’s punchy and vibrant.

And of course, don’t forget about the RTX 5060 mobile, which features 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM and brings a whole host of modern Blackwell features to the table, like DLSS, MFG, and improved ray tracing and AI capabilities. It’s a great way to go for FHD/FHD+ gaming, primarily, and works especially well with high fps, competitive titles.
Why we like this Thunderobot Radiant 16 gaming laptop deal
Genuinely competitive price point for a high-spec RTX 5060 laptop
In my experience, I tend to see RTX 5060 laptops with 32GB of DDR5, high-core-count, large L3-cache CPUs, and QHD+ high-refresh-rate displays come in much closer to the $2,000 mark. This is a very good from a price-to-performance perspective.
Overkill display for the RTX 5060 for purely gaming, but not overall
The sweet spot for the RTX 5060 is FHD/FHD+, but this QHD+ display isn’t just for gaming. Intricate design work, seeing text more clearly, watching content, and, of course, playing in QHD/QHD+ should all look great on this screen.
It’s at its lowest price ever right now on Amazon
As you can see from the pricing history, this recent drop is also significant, in addition to being a record-low price. It’s not one of those deals that looks better than it actually is.
