The M6 is Apple’s latest M-series chip.
There are various configurations for the M6 Mac mini, but here we’re focusing on one of the higher-spec models, featuring 24GB of Unified Memory and 512GB SSD storage space. Usually priced at $1,299.00, the compact desktop computer is now priced at just $1,149.99, saving you a generous $149.01 so soon after its launch. 24GB memory and 512GB storage
While Apple does offer up to 32GB + 2TB on its official store, Amazon’s listing currently maxes out at the 24GB + 512GB configuration, but that’s suitable enough for many users. With these higher 24GB and 32GB memory configurations, Apple offers up to 170 GB/s bandwidth and up to 2x faster storage compared to previous models. Apple Intelligence with Siri AI is also present in the next-gen models, so having solid memory & storage capacity is ideal if you plan to utilize it extensively.
Compact design
As to be expected with the latest Mac mini, it offers a compact design ideal for any desktop workspace – big or small. Despite its small form factor, it has space for three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI port, and a 2.5Gb Ethernet port at the back. On the front, Apple fits the M6 with two USB-C ports and a headphone jack. It supports up to three external displays and features Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support.
First big price drop
It’s the first major price drop for the M6 Mac Mini. It had previously been discounted around the time of its release (it was available to pre-order ahead of then), but only with a ~$30 discount. As we can see from price tracking site Camelcamelcamel, the M6 model has had a sudden drop off during in time for Prime Day, and it’s not even an exclusive deal for Prime Members.
More mini PC deals during Prime Day
We’ve noticed a range of mini PC deals this Prime Day; for example, for the Mac mini M6 featured above, its various storage variants are also on offer (from 16GB memory and 256GB storage). There’s also a deal on the last-generation M5 model, so be sure to check that out too. If you’re not an Apple user, there’s a good amount of choice with Windows-based mini PCs, too.
