Table of Contents
The Google Pixel 11 range was only released less than two months ago, so to get a deal this good on the flagship model this soon is an opportunity you don’t want to miss this Prime Day! The Google Pixel 11 Pro XL combines a bright 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display, 512GB of faster Zoned UFS storage and 16GB of RAM with Google’s Tensor G6 processor. Its principal strengths are its computational photography, closely integrated Gemini features, long software-support potential and clean Android experience. At full price it is an expensive flagship, but the larger battery, 120x Pro Zoom system and high-capacity storage make it the most capable conventional phone in the Pixel 11 range, and with this massive $300 discount, there’s no reason not to snap it up!

What we like about this Google Pixel 11 Pro XL 512GB (unlocked) smartphone
Bright 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display
The Super Actua display uses a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED panel with a resolution of 1344 x 2992 and density of approximately 486 pixels per inch. Its 20:9 aspect ratio provides a large viewing area for streaming, photography, reading and split-screen multitasking. LTPO technology allows the refresh rate to vary between 1Hz and 120Hz. The screen can reduce its refresh rate when displaying static content to conserve power and increase it for smoother scrolling, animations and compatible games.

Google rates the panel for up to 2,400 nits during HDR playback and as much as 3,600 nits of peak brightness under appropriate conditions. Those figures should make outdoor content easier to see while providing strong highlight reproduction in compatible HDR photographs and video.
The display supports a contrast ratio exceeding 2,000,000:1 and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 with an additional anti-scratch treatment. OLED technology also provides effectively perfect blacks because individual pixels can switch off completely.
Tensor G6 and Gemini Intelligence
Google’s Tensor G6 processor is designed around the company’s AI, photography and security features. Rather than concentrating exclusively on benchmark performance, it supports the computational tasks behind Pixel imaging, voice processing and Gemini Intelligence. A vapour chamber helps move heat away from the processor during demanding work. This is useful when recording video, processing photographs, gaming or running extended AI tasks, although sustained performance will still depend on temperature and ambient conditions.
Gemini Intelligence can work across supported applications to help organise information, handle routine tasks and provide context-sensitive assistance. Feature availability can depend on language, country, account type and software updates, so not every advertised function will necessarily be available to every buyer immediately.
Pro triple-camera system
The rear camera system is considerably more sophisticated than the “dual 50MP” description shown in the Amazon listing. Google officially specifies three rear cameras: a 50MP wide camera, a 48MP ultrawide with autofocus and Macro Focus, and a 48MP periscope telephoto camera. The main camera uses a large 1/1.3-inch sensor, an f/1.68 aperture and optical stabilisation. It is intended to provide strong general photography and better low-light capture while retaining the computational processing associated with Pixel phones.
The ultrawide camera offers a 123-degree field of view and autofocus, allowing it to capture broad scenes as well as close-up macro subjects. The telephoto camera provides 5x optical zoom, optical stabilisation and a larger sensor than the previous generation for improved light collection.
Improved low-light and automatic capture features
The upgraded telephoto system is designed to collect approximately 30% more light, which should improve long-distance photographs in dim conditions. Night Sight and Google’s computational processing combine multiple exposures to recover detail and control noise. Magic Capture is designed for moments when taking conventional photographs would interrupt the experience. A single activation records video and still imagery before automatically selecting, cropping, editing and unblurring a collection suitable for sharing. The 42MP front camera includes autofocus and a wide 103-degree field of view. This supports detailed selfies, group photographs and flexible framing for video calls.
The phone can record up to 8K video with supported processing features. Video Boost, Pro Stable Video and optical plus electronic stabilisation are intended to improve clarity and motion handling, although cloud processing, connectivity or account requirements may apply to certain modes.
512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM
The 512GB configuration provides substantially more room for photographs, 4K or 8K video, applications and downloaded media than a 128GB or 256GB phone. There is no microSD expansion, so choosing an appropriate capacity at purchase remains important. Actual available storage is lower than the advertised capacity because Android, preinstalled software and formatting occupy part of the drive.
Its 16GB of memory gives Android and Gemini features more working space for multitasking and on-device processing. The additional memory should also help the phone remain responsive as applications become more demanding.
More than 30 hours of claimed battery life
The Pixel 11 Pro XL contains a typical 5,115mAh battery, with Google specifying a 5,000mAh minimum capacity. The company claims more than 30 hours of general battery life under its testing conditions. Extreme Battery Saver can extend runtime further by limiting background activity and restricting non-essential features. Real endurance will vary with mobile signal strength, display brightness, camera use, gaming, navigation and 5G activity.
Using a compatible 45W or higher USB-C PPS charger, sold separately, Google claims the phone can reach approximately 75% charge in around 30 minutes. Charging speed slows as the battery fills to control heat and protect long-term health. Pixelsnap wireless charging is Qi2.2 certified and supports up to 25W with suitable equipment. Its magnetic alignment also accommodates compatible stands, grips and selected MagSafe accessories.
Pixel HiLight notifications
Pixel HiLight uses subtle illumination to provide information while the phone is face down. It can indicate when selected contacts are calling or when an interaction with Gemini is active, reducing the need to turn over and unlock the device. This is a Pro-series feature rather than a conventional notification LED. Its usefulness will depend on how extensively Google allows users to customise supported contacts, applications and lighting behaviour.
Strong hardware-backed security
Tensor G6 works with the dedicated Titan M3 security coprocessor and a trusted execution environment to protect sensitive data. Google also specifies quantum-safe secure boot in hardware, anti-malware protection and phishing safeguards across supported Phone and Messages features. Fingerprint and facial recognition provide convenient biometric authentication. Google’s VPN is included without an additional charge, subject to availability and applicable terms.
As with any connected device, security also depends on installing updates promptly, using strong account protection and downloading software from trusted sources.
Durable flagship construction
The phone carries an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water under controlled laboratory conditions. Water resistance can diminish with wear and does not make the device immune to liquid damage, so deliberate submersion should still be avoided. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects the display, while the chassis is designed to withstand everyday use. A protective case remains advisable because large glass smartphones can still crack when dropped.
The Pro XL measures approximately 6.4 by 3 by 0.3 inches and weighs around eight ounces. It offers an expansive screen and battery but is less comfortable for one-handed use than the 6.3-inch Pixel 11 Pro.
Unlocked 5G connectivity
The unlocked model supports 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and USB-C. Carrier compatibility should be checked using the exact model number because support for mmWave 5G and individual cellular bands can vary between regional versions. The phone supports physical SIM and eSIM functionality in relevant markets. Google includes a USB-C cable and SIM tool but does not supply a wall charger in the box.
Who should consider this Google Pixel 11 Pro XL deal?
The Google Pixel 11 Pro XL 512GB is best suited to Android users who want a large, bright display, extensive storage and Google’s most advanced camera and Gemini features. It is particularly appealing to photographers who value reliable automatic processing, low-light capture and a versatile ultrawide-to-telephoto system. The 512GB capacity suits users who record substantial amounts of high-resolution video or keep large media libraries locally. Its 16GB of RAM also provides additional headroom for multitasking and emerging on-device AI features.
Buyers who prefer a compact phone should consider the smaller Pixel 11 Pro, which offers many of the same core capabilities. Those choosing primarily for sustained high-end gaming should compare thermal performance and game optimisation with competing flagship processors, while anyone interested in 120x zoom should recognise that it is a computational digital mode rather than native optical magnification.
