What we like about this Lenovo Legion 5 RTX 5070 gaming laptop
Sweet-spot graphics card from a price-to-performance perspective
You’re getting beefier raw performance than the RTX 5060, 8GB of high-speed GDDR7 VRAM, improved ray tracing and AI capabilities, and support for DLSS 4.5 and MFG. The RTX 5070 makes a lot of sense for portable play, both for FHD and QHD gaming on the go. It also packs a pretty big punch for using creative apps, helping speed up video editing, 3D rendering, and graphic design.
Very high-end processor that’s a quality all-rounder
The 9 275HX packs 24 cores and 24 threads, which positions it very well to handle heavy multitasking, making it a good option for streaming, recording gameplay, running multiple apps at once, and creative workflows. It also packs a large 36MB L3 cache and a beefy 5.4GHz boost clock speed, which makes ita. very strong choice for high FPS gaming with low latency, even at a more competitive level at lower resolutions.

Outstanding OLED screen
This QDH+ OLED panel can hit 1000 nits peak brightness and boasts true-to-life colors and a 165Hz refresh rate. This makes it brilliant for gaming, ticking off both the most important boxes: low motion blur at high frame rates and true-to-life visuals with lifelike contrast and brightness.
Loads of DDR5 and a decent amount of storage
It features 32GB of DDR5, which positions it well to handle more asset-heavy titles and more demanding multitasking workflows. Its 1TB SSD is quite good, too, and is more than enough to fit a few large AAA games alongside your other files.
Stunning design, that’s super practical, too
Not only does it look great with its touches of RGB, but it has some clever engineering to make the whole thing more portable and streamlined. For instance, the lid is aerospace-grade aluminium, and it has an impressive 30-minute fast-charge feature, so you’re not permanently tethered to a socket.
Who is this deal for?
Personally, I’d say this deal is for those who want an incredibly complete RTX 5070 laptop that they’ll be using extensively for gaming on the go in addition to heavy workstation and creative use, too. It’s a laptop that really doesn’t scale back in any particular area, aside from perhaps the 1TB SSD. If I were going to buy a gaming laptop, this combination of an OLED display, high core count processor, 32GB of DDR5, and powerful, but not overkill, Blackwell graphics card would be seriously appealing.
