LG’s superb 83″ OLED C6 TV is at its lowest price ever on Amazon
Table of Contents
It looks like it’s a great time to score this LG 83-inch C6-series OLED TV right now, as it’s down to its lowest price ever on Amazon, with a hefty 18% off its list price. Coming in at $3,299.99, it’s a beefy investment, for sure, but it’s one that’s well worth it if you’re building a high-end entertainment setup at home and want cinematic scale without losing out on top-end picture quality and gaming features. There’s a fair bit to this TV, but before I go into it, here are the main need-to-knows. Since it’s OLED, you’re getting super impressive contrast, with deep blacks and bright highlights, which allows for exceptional HDR presentation and a more cinematic, immersive feel to whatever you’re watching. HDR support is extensive, and it supports Dolby Atmos for epic soundbar and surround sound speakers, priming this TV nicely to be the centrepiece of a pretty epic home setup. It has a 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, FreeSync Premium, and VRR, all of which make it ideal for pairing with high-end consoles and gaming PCs, specifically for smooth high FPS 4K gaming. And on top of that, it packs a very powerful Alpha 11 Gen3 processor at its core, which works to optimize picture and audio quality in realtime.
What we like about this 83-inch LG C6 OLED TV
Brightness Booster Pro
Some OLEDs can be a little dim, especially when compared to mini-LED TVs, so having this technology is a win if you’re after brighter highlights or a better viewing experience in brighter ambient lighting conditions.
Very strong gaming features
It’s almost like a massive 4K gaming monitor, in the sense that you won’t be running into screen tearing, stutter, ghosting, and motion blur, even when gaming at very high FPS in 4K. Its 1ms response time is very impressive, as is its ALLM, which automatically detects when you’re gaming and reduces latency for a more responsive experience.

Powerful processor
Having a higher-end processor is especially important if you’ve got a larger screen, as it handles, among other things, upscaling, which takes lower-resolution content and makes it appear closer to 4K. This processor also adjusts picture settings in real time, so you’re getting the best possible viewing experience appropriate to the type of content you’re watching.
Amazing for watching movies
It supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, and even has a Filmmaker mode, which displays films exactly as the director intended.
Excellent webOS platform with Google Gemini
This is a super user-friendly and easily navigable platform that allows you to find new content to watch easily, has personalized recommendations, Gemini, and more.
Is this TV right for you?
Pricey, yes, but this is a very good TV for a home entertainment setup. It’s actually not the very top-end OLED from LG, which is seriously expensive, so it makes for a smart move if you’re looking to prevent costs from going a little overboard. I’d say that there are other alternatives you could consider, like slightly lower-end OLEDs or a mini-LED if you want to bring costs down. I’d say for the price, you’re getting your money’s worth with this TV, especially as it has a higher-end processor and very robust gaming features.
