Key features and highlights of the Sonos Ace
The Sonos Ace are designed to provide an immersive listening experience, particularly with movies and supported Spatial Audio content. Dolby Atmos allows compatible audio to feel more spacious, while dynamic head tracking adjusts the presentation as you move your head. Instead of the sound always moving with you, it can feel more like it’s positioned around you.
Lossless audio is supported through compatible connections and devices, including USB-C. This gives you another option when you want to listen to higher-quality audio rather than relying solely on a standard wireless connection.

Active Noise Cancellation is another major part of the experience. The ANC system reduces outside distractions, which can make the Ace useful for flights, public transport, offices, or simply listening at home when other things are happening around you. It also helps quieter parts of songs and movies remain easier to hear without constantly increasing the volume.
One of the most interesting features for existing Sonos owners is TV Audio Swap. With a compatible Sonos soundbar, you can move the TV’s audio from the soundbar directly to the Ace headphones. This is particularly useful if someone else in the house is sleeping or working, but you still want to watch a movie without keeping the TV volume extremely low.
For comfort, Sonos uses plush memory foam and soft vegan leather, with the fit designed to work with different head shapes, hairstyles, and accessories. The goal is to spread pressure more evenly rather than making one area uncomfortable after extended use. As for battery, it reaches up to 30 hours even with Active Noise Cancellation enabled.
Are these headphones worth buying?
The Sonos Ace make the most sense if you want premium noise-cancelling headphones for both music and home entertainment, especially if you already own compatible Sonos equipment. Dolby Atmos, Spatial Audio, and dynamic head tracking all work to improve the audio experience, while TV Audio Swap is useful when you want to watch television privately through a compatible Sonos soundbar. ANC and up to 30 hours of battery life also make the Ace suitable for everyday travel.
