The LG C6 is a highly capable 65-inch OLED television that combines perfect pixel-level black control with stronger HDR brightness, refined processing and comprehensive gaming connectivity. Four HDMI 2.1 inputs, 4K/165Hz PC support, Dolby Vision Gaming and compatibility with both G-Sync and FreeSync Premium make it particularly versatile. Its glossy screen makes those colors pop, although it does mean slightly more of a reflective surface in direct sunlight – so bear this in mind. Grab it now for its lowest ever price on Amazon in this deal for $300 off the MSRP. Read below for additional details on the specifications, or see the foot of this page for alternative offers on OLED TVs.

The 65-inch C6 measures approximately 56.7 inches wide and 32.5 inches high without its stand. Its panel is extremely thin across much of the surface, with a thicker lower section containing the electronics and connections. Weight is approximately 36.6 pounds without the stand and 40.6 pounds with it. A 300 x 200mm VESA mounting pattern supports compatible wall brackets.

Two people should install or move the television. OLED panels are thin and should be handled only at the reinforced areas described in LG’s instructions rather than by pressing against the screen. The central stand requires less furniture width than widely spaced feet, but users should confirm that an external soundbar will fit without blocking the picture or remote-control sensor.

What we like about this LG 65-inch C6 OLED evo TV

Excellent OLED black levels and contrast

OLED’s ability to switch individual pixels off gives the C6 outstanding dark-room performance. Black areas remain genuinely dark while nearby highlights retain precise edges, eliminating the halos that can appear around subtitles, stars and small lamps on Mini LED televisions. This contrast performance gives films, games and high-quality streaming content a convincing sense of depth. Shadow detail can also be presented without the elevated black floor found on many LCD displays.

Viewing angles are wide, making the television suitable for seating arrangements that extend beyond the centre of the screen. Colour and contrast remain more consistent from the side than they do on many VA-panel televisions.

Improved brightness for a C-series OLED

Brightness Booster increases the impact of HDR highlights and helps the C6 remain usable under moderate ambient lighting. Independent testing has measured short-duration HDR peaks above 1,400 nits in suitable picture conditions, although brightness varies with window size, picture mode and panel temperature. The television cannot sustain its maximum highlight brightness across the entire screen. Like other OLED models, it uses power-management behaviour to control heat and overall consumption. Large bright scenes will consequently measure lower than small specular highlights.

The C6 is bright enough to deliver convincing HDR in most living rooms, but it is not the ideal choice for an extremely sunlit space. High-end Mini LED televisions and OLED models with more aggressive anti-reflection treatments may remain easier to see in those environments.

α11 AI Processor Gen3

LG’s α11 AI Processor Gen3 was previously associated with more premium model tiers and provides the C6 with stronger image analysis than older C-series televisions. Its functions include AI Super Upscaling 4K, object recognition, noise reduction and scene-specific picture optimisation. Lower-resolution television broadcasts and compressed streams can appear cleaner and more detailed, although the quality of the source remains decisive. Upscaling cannot recreate fine information that is completely absent from low-resolution or heavily compressed material.

The processor also supports higher-precision image handling intended to improve colour gradation and subtle brightness transitions. This can reduce visible banding in skies, shadows and animated content when the source provides sufficient information. AI Picture modes produce a more assertive image, while viewers seeking a restrained presentation can disable many enhancements or use Filmmaker Mode.

Dolby Vision and Filmmaker Mode

The C6 supports Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG. Dolby Vision uses dynamic metadata to guide tone mapping on a scene-by-scene or frame-by-frame basis, giving the television more information than standard HDR10 provides. This is an important advantage for viewers with Dolby Vision content from streaming services, UHD Blu-ray players or compatible gaming systems. The television also supports Dolby Vision Gaming at high refresh rates where the connected source allows it.

Filmmaker Mode reduces unwanted sharpening, motion interpolation and other processing that can change the intended presentation. The addition of ambient-light awareness lets the television adapt the image to room conditions while trying to preserve the creative character of the content. LG does not support HDR10+. Services or discs mastered in HDR10+ will generally fall back to standard HDR10. Buyers whose libraries heavily favour HDR10+ should take that omission into account.

G-Sync and FreeSync Premium compatibility

Support for Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium makes the C6 suitable for gaming computers using either major graphics platform. The television can synchronise refresh behaviour with the GPU across a supported range, improving motion consistency and reducing tearing. OLED pixels also transition extremely quickly. LG quotes a response time of approximately 0.1ms under its chosen test conditions, contributing to clear motion in fast games. Real input latency is a separate measurement, but the C6 performs strongly when Game Optimizer is active.

Competitive players can reduce graphics settings to target higher frame rates, while cinematic games can combine 4K resolution, HDR and VRR for a more visually ambitious presentation.

Comprehensive Game Optimizer controls

LG’s Game Optimizer places important settings in a dedicated interface. Users can inspect VRR status, select genre-specific picture profiles, adjust black stabilisation and alter latency-related options without navigating the full television menu.

Dark-area enhancement can help reveal opponents in shadows but may compromise image accuracy. Likewise, exaggerated sharpness and colour settings can make games appear more vivid while moving away from their intended appearance. The dashboard makes these choices accessible rather than forcing a single preset.

Cloud-gaming support expands the television’s capabilities, although subscriptions, a compatible controller and a fast network connection may be required.

Strong colour and cinematic presentation

LG describes the C6 as supporting Perfect Black and Perfect Colour, with broad colour consistency under defined test conditions. The OLED panel can produce rich, accurate colours without a conventional backlight washing out darker areas. The 65-inch model uses a refined WOLED panel rather than the Primary RGB Tandem OLED technology fitted to the larger 77- and 83-inch C6H versions. Buyers should not assume that reviews or brightness measurements for the C6H apply to this television.

The standard C6 remains a substantial performer, but the larger C6H is technically different rather than merely a bigger version of the same panel.

Glossy screen preserves clarity but reflects light

The C6 uses a glossy screen finish. This helps maintain crisp perceived detail and deep blacks in controlled lighting, especially when compared with aggressive matte coatings that diffuse light across the panel.

Its disadvantage is visible reflection. Windows, lamps and bright objects can appear on the screen during dark scenes. Careful positioning, curtains or controlled evening lighting will produce the best results. This makes the C6 particularly well suited to mixed or dark-room viewing. Buyers with a brightly illuminated room and no ability to control reflections may prefer a television with stronger glare suppression, such as Samsung’s S90H, or a bright Mini LED model.

Dolby Atmos and AI Sound Pro

The built-in 2.2-channel system supports Dolby Atmos and AI Sound Pro processing. LG can analyse content and create a virtualised sound presentation intended to provide greater width and height than the physical speakers alone would normally produce. Dialogue and general television should sound clear.

WOW Orchestra allows compatible LG soundbars and the television’s speakers to operate together. This can expand the front soundstage and maintain dialogue output through the television while the soundbar handles more substantial effects. LG does not consistently support DTS decoding across its current televisions. Owners with DTS-based disc libraries should verify the capabilities of their source player and audio equipment or connect the player directly to a compatible receiver or soundbar.

webOS 26 and broad streaming support

The C6 runs webOS 26, providing access to major services including Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV and YouTube. LG Channels adds free advertising-supported television and on-demand programming, although availability varies by region. Google Cast and Apple AirPlay support facilitate content sharing from compatible mobile devices. Alexa compatibility and Google Gemini integration add voice and AI-assisted discovery features.

Some smart functions require an LG account, internet connection or separate subscription. The home screen may also display recommendations and promotional content, which will not appeal to users seeking a completely minimal interface. LG states that software updates will be supplied for up to five years under its current platform-support approach. Feature availability and the exact end date can vary by market, and this does not guarantee that every future function will run on older hardware.

Useful AI discovery features

AI Search and recommendation tools are intended to reduce the time spent navigating streaming catalogues. The system can use natural-language prompts and viewing preferences to suggest content or answer compatible queries. These services depend on internet access and may send queries to cloud-based systems. Users concerned about personalisation or data collection should review the privacy options during setup rather than automatically accepting every recommendation feature. The television remains fully usable through conventional menus and inputs if AI functions are disabled.

OLED Care helps manage uneven wear

LG OLED Care provides features intended to reduce the risk of persistent image retention and uneven pixel wear. These include pixel cleaning, screen movement and detection of static elements. OLED degradation cannot be eliminated entirely. Leaving fixed news banners, desktop interfaces or game HUDs on-screen at maximum brightness for extended periods may still create uneven wear over time.

For mixed television, film and gaming use, the risk is manageable. Users should allow maintenance routines to complete, avoid unnecessarily disabling protection features and use sensible brightness settings for static desktop work.

All four HDMI ports support modern gaming features, allowing the C6 to accommodate multiple consoles, a gaming PC and an audio system without limiting advanced functions to only two connections. The ports support 4K/120Hz output from current consoles and up to 4K/165Hz from a compatible PC graphics card. One connection provides eARC for sending high-bandwidth audio to a soundbar or AV receiver.

LG also supports Variable Refresh Rate, Auto Low Latency Mode and HGiG. VRR reduces visible tearing when frame rates fluctuate, while ALLM automatically selects a lower-latency gaming mode when supported equipment is detected. The retailer’s 120Hz field describes the native panel rate used for conventional content. The 165Hz capability is a specialised variable-refresh gaming mode and requires compatible PC hardware; it does not mean films, broadcasts or console games automatically run at 165 frames per second.

Who should buy this LG C6 TV deal?

The LG C6 is best for viewers wanting one television that handles films, streaming, console gaming and high-refresh PC gaming exceptionally well. Its OLED contrast, Dolby Vision support, α11 processing and four HDMI 2.1 ports make it a particularly complete choice for a controlled or moderately lit room.

It is less suitable for spaces with severe reflections, buyers committed to HDR10+ or anyone expecting the tandem-panel performance of the larger C6H. The previous C5 may also offer better value when heavily discounted. For buyers who want LG’s latest processing and 165Hz gaming capability in a conventional 65-inch size, however, the C6 is one of the strongest all-round OLED options available.
