The Beats Studio Buds+ are versatile true-wireless earbuds for commuting, exercise and everyday listening across both Apple and Android devices. Their improved microphones, adaptive fit-based noise cancellation and four ear-tip sizes address several limitations of the original Studio Buds, while the small charging case is easy to carry. They remain a practical choice for listeners who value platform flexibility over deep Apple-only integration. Grab them now for their lowest ever price on Amazon – just $89.95 – while this limited-time deal lasts!
Beats Studio Buds+
The earbuds support three listening states: Active Noise Cancelling, Transparency and Off, which you can read about below. As with any sealed in-ear design, performance depends heavily on achieving the correct fit. An incomplete seal reduces bass response and allows more environmental noise to reach the ear, making Active Noise Cancelling less effective. Beats includes extra-small, small, medium and large silicone tips, giving users more scope to find an appropriate combination. See the bottom of this page for alternative deals on earbuds and headphones.
What we like about these Beats Studio Buds+ True Wireless Noise Cancelling earbuds
Balanced sound in a compact design
The custom acoustic platform is designed around a two-layer flexible diaphragm. This construction helps keep the driver controlled when reproducing bass, reducing distortion as listening volume increases. Vocals and instrumental details should consequently remain clearer than on heavily bass-dominant earbuds.

The Studio Buds+ do not provide a conventional user-adjustable graphic equaliser through the Beats app. Listeners who want to make detailed tonal changes will need to use any EQ controls provided by their music service or operating system. The standard tuning is intended to work across a broad mixture of music, spoken audio and video.
Physical vents reduce the pressured sensation that can occur with tightly sealed in-ear headphones. This does not guarantee comfort for every ear shape, but it can make longer listening sessions less fatiguing.
Improved Active Noise Cancelling
Beats says the Studio Buds+ deliver up to 1.6 times the noise-cancelling performance of the original Studio Buds. The improvement comes from microphones that are three times larger, revised acoustic venting and more capable internal processing.
The system adapts to the user’s fit rather than applying one fixed filter. This is helpful because the acoustic conditions change with ear shape, tip size and how deeply each bud is inserted. A stable seal remains essential, so trying all four supplied tip sizes is worthwhile even if the default medium pair initially feels acceptable.
The ANC should substantially reduce low-frequency travel noise, but larger over-ear headphones can still provide stronger passive isolation and more processing headroom. The Studio Buds+ compensate with much greater portability and a case that fits easily in a pocket.
Useful Transparency mode
Transparency mode makes surrounding sounds audible without requiring the earbuds to be removed. It is useful for transport announcements, brief conversations and walking through busy areas. The feature is intended for situational awareness rather than hearing protection. The earbuds should still be removed whenever unobstructed hearing is important, particularly near traffic or machinery.
Users can also disable both ANC and Transparency. This extends battery life and may sound more natural in quiet rooms where electronic noise control is unnecessary.
Up to 36 hours with the charging case
Beats advertises up to nine hours of playback from the earbuds with the listening modes switched off. The case supplies another 27 hours, producing a maximum combined figure of 36 hours before the case needs to be connected to power.
The original product material quotes up to six hours from the earbuds and approximately 24 hours in total when ANC or Transparency is enabled. Apple’s newer support documentation lists as much as 30 hours with ANC, so the company’s currently published figures are not entirely consistent. Battery endurance will also vary with volume, calls, environmental conditions and software, making the launch figure of 24 hours the more conservative expectation for continuous noise-controlled use.
Fast Fuel provides approximately one hour of playback from a five-minute charge according to the product page. The case charges through USB-C, and a USB-C-to-USB-C cable is included. A power adapter is not supplied.
Enhanced compatibility with Apple and Android
Studio Buds+ are unusually platform-neutral for an Apple-owned product. iPhone and iPad users receive one-touch pairing, hands-free “Hey Siri,” iCloud account pairing, automatic firmware updates and compatibility with Apple’s Find My network.
Android support is similarly extensive. Google Fast Pair simplifies initial setup and associates the earbuds with the user’s Google account. Audio Switch can move playback between compatible Android and ChromeOS devices, while Google Find My Device helps locate misplaced earbuds. The Beats app handles firmware, control customisation, battery information and listening-mode selection.
This does not provide every feature available from AirPods. Studio Buds+ do not use Apple’s H-series headphone chip, and they lack the seamless automatic switching and some advanced ecosystem functions offered by current AirPods models. Their advantage is that neither platform feels like a secondary consideration. Class 1 Bluetooth provides extended range under suitable conditions and helps reduce connection dropouts. Actual distance will still depend on walls, wireless interference and the capabilities of the connected device.
Spatial Audio support
The earbuds can reproduce Spatial Audio mixes, including Dolby Atmos content from supported services. This allows compatible music and films to present a wider, more enveloping sound field than conventional stereo material.
Studio Buds+ do not provide the personalised dynamic head tracking available on Beats Studio Pro, Beats Fit Pro or supported AirPods. The spatial presentation therefore remains fixed rather than changing as the listener moves their head.
Clearer calls and voice pickup
Three-times-larger voice-targeting microphones are designed to separate speech from environmental noise. Beats says the updated system improves call clarity compared with the original Studio Buds, especially when there is steady background sound. Wind remains difficult for compact true-wireless microphones, and performance will depend on how the earbuds are positioned. They should be suitable for ordinary phone calls and online meetings, but a headset with a dedicated boom microphone will provide more consistent voice capture in challenging surroundings. Either earbud can be used independently when only one side is required. This is useful for extended calls or alternating earbuds to preserve battery life.
IPX4 resistance
The earbuds carry an IPX4 rating, meaning they are designed to resist sweat and splashes from different directions. That makes them appropriate for workouts and light exposure to rain, provided they are dried afterward. IPX4 does not make them waterproof. They should not be submerged, worn while swimming or rinsed under a tap. The charging case is not water-resistant, so wet earbuds should be dried completely before being returned to it.
Dependable button controls
Each earbud has a physical multifunction button rather than a purely touch-sensitive surface. Presses control playback and calls, while press-and-hold actions can be assigned to listening modes, volume or a voice assistant. Physical controls provide clear tactile feedback and are less likely to trigger accidentally when adjusting the fit. Pressing the button can push the earbud slightly farther into the ear, however, which some users may find less comfortable than light touch controls.
Who should buy this Beats Studio Buds+ deal?
The Beats Studio Buds+ are best suited to people who regularly move between Apple and Android devices and want broadly equivalent pairing, locating and control features on both platforms. They are also a strong option for commuters seeking compact ANC earbuds that occupy far less space than over-ear headphones.
Their IPX4 rating and lightweight construction make them suitable for gym sessions, running and other everyday exercise. The four included tip sizes should help more users obtain a secure fit, although they do not include stabilising wings or ear hooks for especially vigorous movement. Students and remote workers may appreciate the combination of noise cancellation, Transparency mode and improved call microphones. The small case and nine-hour maximum earbud battery also make them convenient for long periods away from a charger.
They are less suitable for users who want wireless case charging, automatic pause when an earbud is removed, detailed EQ controls or personalised head-tracked Spatial Audio. Buyers deeply invested in Apple hardware may obtain more seamless switching and ecosystem functionality from compatible AirPods or Beats Fit Pro, while the Studio Buds+ offer better parity for mixed-device households.
