Massive 49″ Samsung Odyssey G9 OLED monitor spotted with a solid discount on Amazon
Table of Contents
This huge Samsung 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 gaming monitor is currently sitting at $899.99 on Amazon, with a hefty 29% off its original list price. That’s its lowest price on Amazon since around mid-August this year. Now this monitor is actually on the slightly older side, having been released in late 2023. That being said, this is far from dated and is still very much a premium monitor for next-level, immersive gaming and productivity. In short, you’re getting a massive 49-inch QD-OLED, 240Hz monitor with dual-QHD resolution, FreeSync Premium Pro, built-in RGB lighting, and a super-sleek metal aesthetic. For $899.99, that’s a whole lot of bang for your buck.
What we like about this Samsung 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9
Immersive curved display, that’s practical, too
This screen has a 1800R curvature, which isn’t as aggressive as some ultrawide gaming monitors, but still gives you that next-level sense of immersion when gaming, and doesn’t distort perspective too much for other uses, like design work, watching movies, and more.
QD-OLED panel showcases games at their best
You’re getting seriously impressive contrast here, with super deep blacks and outstanding lifelike color, too. If you’re playing games at max settings and want them to appear as cinematic and atmospheric as possible, this type of monitor is the way to go.

Excellent for high fps, smooth gaming
It has a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time, which means you can game at up to around 240fps without running into too much in the way of motion blur and ghosting. Great for fast-paced gaming, and especially good for racing games if you’re using this monitor in a racing-sim setup.
PBP mode is a game-changer for multiple device setups
Put simply, you can split this monitor screen and display from two different sources at the same time. If you have a laptop and PC setup, this is excellent.
Super stylish with RGB lighting
Its metal finishing and streamlined build give it a super-premium finish, and it even features Samsung’s impressive CoreLighting system on the back. This can be customized to whatever colour you’d like, but also synced with what’s happening on screen, for even more immersive gaming sessions.
Is this deal right for you?
This is a great price for a monitor of this calibre, for sure, and I think even now, this model is very hard to beat in a significant way when it comes to overall performance, design, and picture quality. From a price-to-performance perspective, it makes a lot of sense, and if you’ve got a suitably beefy gaming PC that can take advantage of this monitor’s full capabilities, it’s well worth considering.
