What we liked about this 4K TV
Massive 85″ 4K Hi-QLED mini-LED panel
This Hisense 4K TV boasts a massive panel for movies, sports, and games, with an 85-inch 4K Hi-QLED Mini-LED panel. The 4K resolution is able to deliver intensely detailed scenarios whether you’re watching a movie or TV show. Mini-LED backlighting exposes a dense field of small LEDs, and a local dimming feature adjusts the lighting in individual zones to boost contrast and deepen shadows. Quantum Dot technology also delivers a fuller range of color for more impressive-looking games and HDR movies. Combined, the screen offers a giant view that’s more dynamic than any regular LED panel.

Hi-View AI Engine, anti-reflection, Dolby Vision
The Hi-View AI Engine analyses the incoming picture and automatically adjusts the picture quality, refining detail, colour, contrast and motion depending on what you’re watching. This process improves lower-resolution content to look as good as possible on the 4K panel, although this upscaling can’t recreate the level of detail found in native 4K content. Anti-reflection technology minimises reflections from daylight and room lighting, so you can enjoy daytime TV with minimal distraction. Dolby Vision uses dynamic metadata to optimise compatible HDR content scene-by-scene, allowing you to get the most out of your entertainment with accurate contrast and lively colour reproduction.
Built-in subwoofer and AI Sound
It features an integrated subwoofer for deeper bass. On a standard TV speaker, explosions, music, and other bass-heavy content can sound muffled and muted, but an integrated subwoofer is designed to produce deeper-bass sound to make your movies, shows, and games sound more exciting. It’s a good upgrade for standard streaming, sports, and casual gaming. Designed for most content types to improve the audio experience when watching streaming content, AI Sound uses machine learning to optimize for certain content, like keeping dialogue clear. But if you want a deep bass response and wider soundstage than you can get from an integrated speaker, a dedicated soundbar or surround-sound system is the best way to go.
AI Sports mode and native 144Hz refresh rate
An added feature in the picture is for live sports in the form of the AI Sports mode, which is designed to help the player to stand out, while also making commentary and crowd noise easier to interpret. With the native 144Hz refresh rate combined with this, it makes this TV a promising option for all fast-moving content and for gaming. A 144Hz panel can refresh each frame up to 144 times per second, meaning that any motion shown on the screen would appear smoother as long as there are enough frames being generated by the source.
