More affordable Pixel 10a gets lower Amazon price – days before Google’s new model reveal
Table of Contents
We’re close to finding out a prospective release date for the Pixel 11 range. But if cost and everyday usability are your main concerns, the Pixel 10a is a more affordable option with some serious Android credentials. The $600 smartphone is a more cost-conscious option than the top-end models, and a discount saves $75. Amazon’s latest limited-time deal drops the unlocked Android phone to a preferable price of $524.
Why we like the Google Pixel 10a
Superb cameras
The 10a may be a more affordable Android phone, but the cameras are still impressive for daily use. The 48MP main camera has an f/1.7 aperture supported by optical image stabilization, and is backed by a 13MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens and a front-facing 13MP f/2.2 camera. This combination is reported to deliver crisp and detailed shots with good color and contrast.
Battery and screen
Battery life should not be a problem for most users, since the battery is better than that of the 9a and Google reports up to 30 hours of ‘normal’ use on a single charge. However, excessive use of, say, video will drain this quicker, and brightness is a key element. The Pixel 10a’s 6.3-inch FHD+ OLED screen can achieve good brightness and offers clear viewability.

7 years of Pixel drops
There are a lot of features we could focus on here, including the phone’s solid-and-swift performance, 256GB of storage, or its Corning Gorilla Glass 7i display and IP68 water and dust protection. However, critically, Google has said the Pixel 10a will get seven years of Pixel drops (updates), which is great if you rarely upgrade or discard your smartphones.
What to consider before you buy
The Google Pixel 10a is a smartphone that many Android users could easily and happily use, and for the deal price offers impressive features – especially if you’re upgrading. We’ll note that the price has been lower, as you can see above, and with the Pixel 11 lineup being revealed in the coming days, it could be worth holding off on a purchase until you see what’s coming. Equally, the 10a price may drop further once the new lineup is officially revealed. But if you need an Android upgrade now, there’s a lot to like here.
