What we liked about this gaming laptop
Solid processing power with RTX 5070 Ti and Core Ultra 7 255HX
The Core Ultra 7 255HX is a very strong mobile processor that has 20 cores and threads with a 5.2GHz boost clock speed. The base power draw is 55W, which is perfect, but it can pull up to 160W, meaning that when it encounters heavy tasks, it can adjust its performance accordingly to ensure smooth output. This includes but isn’t limited to 4K video editing, 3D rendering, running simulations, encoding, compression, gaming, and more. So, the performance it brings to the table makes it ideal for power users, content creators, enthusiasts, and other professionals in demanding fields.
Long-lasting battery and great connectivity options
This gaming laptop has a 90Wh battery, which is huge. So, you can keep it running for a couple of hours before needing a recharge, but that also depends on what you’re doing. Web browsing and documentation don’t take a lot of processing power, but for video editing and resource-intensive workflows, the CPU and GPU will demand more power and will drain the battery quicker. So, in these scenarios, connecting the charger is the best way to go.
You’ll also get HDMI 2.1, which allows for seamless 4K gaming up to 120Hz and has a massive bandwidth. While the display of this gaming laptop doesn’t need such firepower, you can connect an external monitor to experience what the RTX 5070 Ti is truly capable of. Besides that, there are two Thunderbolt 5 ports, which have up to 80Gbps bi-directional data speed. This makes transferring large amounts of data to and from the laptop very fast and efficient. This also allows you to work off external SSDs.
Great display for gaming
The FHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate is decent, as you’ll get a 16:10 aspect ratio, meaning plenty of screen real estate. However, taking the abilities of the RTX 5070 Ti into consideration, it can handle much more than FHD+, but this also means that you can easily hit the FPS ceiling in a lot of titles and max out the in-game graphics. So, it is underpowered, but you can still enjoy a smooth gaming experience.
