MSI Aegis Z2 Gaming Desktop
Why we like the MSI Aegis Z2 Gaming PC
This MSI PC has enough to be a fine gaming system for lower to mid resolutions while providing a base on which future upgrades could transform performance. A Socket AM5 system, featuring the balanced Ryzen 7 7700 and NVidia’s RTX 4060, this sort of low-end build is the kind we’d suggest looking at even at its regular price.
- 1080p to 1440p gaming – The AMD Ryzen 7 7700 is a well-balanced 8-core, 16-thread CPU able to power midrange systems. The RTX 4060 and 16GB of DDR5 RAM add up to a system able to easily handle 1080p gaming and deliver 1440p gaming.
- Storage – A 1TB M2 SSD drive is standard for a low to midrange gaming PC.
- Reliable PSU – The 80 Plus Gold Rated PSU can provide sustained power-efficiency –
- Good cooling – RGB CPU air cooler, plus 3x front-panel system fans and 1x rear exhaust fan.
- Upgrades – We see potential for possible future upgrades to RAM, CPU, and GPU, but some upgrades will depend on the power supply.
Who is this Aegis Z2 Gaming PC deal for?
As a first gaming system or an upgrade from an older machine, this Aegis Z2 deal offers excellent value. Not only is it less than some of the more expensive graphics cards on the market, but it can also deliver fast Full HD gaming and 1440p resolutions in titles.
Being built on AMD’s Socket AM5 platform offers solid potential for the system into the future. But right now, at its lowest tracked price, its Ryzen 7 7700 and RTX 4060 pairing should serve upgraders and new PC owners well in a smart-looking system from a well-respected company.
