Why we like the MSI MAG 274QP gaming monitor
Big 240Hz refresh rate
Part of the reason this monitor is over $300 is its impressive 240Hz refresh rate. Capable of supporting up to 240 frames per second at 1440p, there’s plenty of headroom for most gamers to enjoy frantic and competitively-paced action, with the support of a near-instant 0.03ms response time.
Stunning QD OLED picture
Quantum Dot OLED (QD-OLED) technology powers the performance for this monitor. It also powers 10-bit color support, incredible dark levels, and vibrant viewing, supporting 1.07 billion colors, 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and extreme Delta E ≤2 color accuracy. That means stunning scenes for gaming, content, and creative processes where color accuracy matters.

Device agnostic
The MSI MAG 274QP can easily be used as a gaming monitor for PC, laptop, or console. And it can connect to Mac machines as needed, since its ports include DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.1 CEC. Plus, there’s flexibility in terms of ergonomics, with the 274QP being pivot, tilt, swivel, and height adjustable.
What to consider before you buy
There’s no doubting the quality of the MSI MAG 274QP at this price. One of its stablemates (the 271QRX) is our top 27-inch monitor, and we see the similarities in this model, albeit at a more affordable price. Spending on a monitor always depends on what specs you’re keen to invest in and what you need. If you’re not sure you need a 240Hz refresh rate, then you could certainly save some money with another model. But with the flexibility and quality this monitor has, there are clear plus points to this deal price.
