Table of Contents
The MSI Shadow RTX 5070 OC is a battle-ready graphics card perfect for mid-range rigs and all-out 1440p gaming. It features 12 GB of GDDR7 VRAM and all the features expected from an RTX 50-series offering. The strongest aspect of this GPU is the value it provides, as it keeps its relatively budget-friendly price but offers better performance than those under it in the performance hierarchy. Despite the 12GB VRAM, it can still push 4K but needs upscaling for consistency.
Grab it now for only $649.99 at Newegg and get 007 First Light for free. That being said, you can shave an extra $20 off this discounted price tag by availing the promo code. Simply input your Newegg email to check for eligibility, and if you pass, you should be able to buy it for $629.99.

What this GPU has to offer
Robust 1440p gaming performance
The RTX 5070 is the perfect GPU for 1440p gaming, as that is its sweetspot. It can handle any title at 1440p, and you can even max out the graphics settings for the best experience, but depending on the game, the FPS might drop. That is where you can leverage DLSS 4.5 and MFG to pull the weight. These technologies also allow you to push 4K, and that gives this card a lot of value.

Fits in the budget and mid-range builds easily
The level of performance it can deliver makes it a good fit for budget and mid-range gaming rigs, as they house similar processors. So, the pairing is great and delivers high value for money without feeling like the CPU or GPU performance is compromised. On top of that, since it can go all the way up to 4K but excels at 1080p and 1440p, there is no need to upgrade the gaming monitor either, and you can experience the full potential by hitting high frames.
