The Sonos Beam Gen 2 is a compact soundbar made for people who want better TV sound without adding a large speaker system to their room. It uses five drivers to deliver clearer dialogue, stronger bass, and a wider soundstage than you would normally get from built-in TV speakers. And right now, on Amazon, this Soundbar is available for $359, which is only $10 more than its lowest ever price of $349.

Key features and highlights of the Sonos Beam Gen 2
One of the biggest reasons to upgrade from TV speakers to the Beam Gen 2 is simply better and clearer sound. Built-in TV speakers are usually small and don’t have much room to produce strong bass or a wide soundstage. The Beam uses a five-driver setup to give movies, shows, sports, and games more presence without requiring several speakers around the room.
Voices are also designed to come through clearly, so you shouldn’t have to constantly raise the volume during conversations and then lower it when an action scene suddenly gets louder. The soundbar also produces more noticeable bass than most TV speakers, helping explosions, music, and other effects feel fuller.

Dolby Atmos is another major feature. It is designed to make sound feel like it’s coming from a larger space instead of directly from the soundbar. This can make compatible movies and shows feel more immersive.
Setup is also very simple. You mainly need to connect power and hook the Beam up to your TV, with HDMI eARC handling audio on compatible televisions. You can continue using your regular TV remote for everyday volume control instead of keeping another remote nearby.
When you’re not watching TV, the Beam can work as a regular home speaker. You can stream music, podcasts, radio, and audiobooks through supported services. Control is available through the Sonos app, Alexa, Apple AirPlay 2, and other supported options.
Is this soundbar worth buying?
The Sonos Beam Gen 2 is worth considering if you want a noticeable TV audio upgrade without buying a large soundbar or full surround-sound system. It improves dialogue, bass, and overall sound while adding Dolby Atmos for a more immersive experience. Its simple setup also makes it a good choice for someone who doesn’t want to deal with complicated home-theater equipment.
