If you’re planning on going all-in and buying a seriously powerful RTX 50-series gaming laptop, then you’ll want to check out this discounted MSI Vector. It’s down to its lowest price ever on Amazon through PCOnline US, with a significant 18% off its list price. Coming in at $2,999.00, it’s not cheap, but it’s an incredible machine and a serious workhorse, too.
First off, you’ve got an RTX 5080 mobile in this configuration. It features 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM and a beefy CUDA core count of 7,680, alongside Blackwell features like 4th-gen ray tracing cores, 5th-gen tensor cores, and DLSS with MFG. It’s a very strong choice for 1600p gaming, which maps on nicely to this laptop’s QHD+, 240Hz display.

This GPU is paired with an impressive Intel Ultra 9 275HX processor, which is ideal for both high framerate gaming and heavy multitasking. For high FPS and smooth gaming performance, especially at lower resolutions for competitive play, its 36MB L3 cache is going to help reduce frame latency. On the other hand, having 24 cores (8P + 16E) is ideal for productivity, creative workflows, and more. Combined with its 32GB of DDR5 RAM and 2TB SSD, it’s a very complete configuration that’s primed for both work and play, without needing any particular upgrades.

Back to the screen again, which, as mentioned, is excellent for gaming but also a very good pick for creatives, too. It may not be mini-LED or OLED, but this IPS screen features 100% DCI-P3 color. This wider color coverage is going to help with critical creative edits, especially with video editing.
Reasons to consider this MSI Vector gaming laptop while it’s on sale
As a complete package, it’s competitively priced
The big thing with this laptop is that you’re getting something with 2TB of storage and 32GB of DDR5, which, especially nowadays, can drive the price of a laptop or gaming PC sky-high. On top of that, you’re also getting Windows 11 Pro and a Thunderobot 7-in-1 USB-C hub bundled in, giving you more bang for your buck.
It’s high-end, but not overly specced
Where this laptop pulls back a bit is with its screen, opting for 1600p instead of 4K, and a standard IPS instead of a mini-LED or OLED. Personally, I think 4K is overkill for the RTX 5080 mobile, especially if you want to game on the go, and having a mini-LED or OLED is great, but both can make a laptop super expensive.
A genuinely powerful build for gaming, creators, and productvity
This laptop is going to give you that premium laptop gaming experience and will be able to handle anything from demanding creative workflows to heavy multitasking with ease. It’s a portable powerhouse and will be for years to come.
