Why this ginormous Hisense 100″ 4K TV stood out for us
Hi-View AI Engine Pro
The Hi-View AI Engine Pro is the brain of the TV, which uses AI to scan the source material, determining optimal picture settings on the fly. It can recognize context within the material (e.g., contrast, color, sharpness, and fine detail) and adjust those properties to suit the scene, to achieve cleaner, sharper, more realistic images across a huge 100″ display, with imperfect sources and low-quality feeds. When watching sports, movies, or gaming content, the processor is designed to make the picture look as desirable as possible without any manual intervention to the picture controls.

Native 165Hz refresh rate and VRR 288
This TV has a native 165Hz refresh rate, and since the screen can refresh so many times per second, it creates much smoother and more instantaneous motion than you would get from a typical 60Hz or 120Hz TV, reducing blurring on fast-moving objects, camera pans, and competitive scenarios. VRR 288 can also be used to dynamically synchronize the display’s refresh rate to the frame rate produced by the console or PC, which can help to minimize tearing and stuttering when rendering speed varies.
AI Smooth Motion
AI Smooth Motion uses intelligent processing to analyze motion and then boosts the motion clarity that the eye perceives. Unlike a mere increase in refresh rate, for example, it aims to make fast-moving objects seem more uniform and smooth across the entire screen, which can prove very beneficial when watching football, action movies, or playing a video game with extremely fast camera movements that otherwise may produce blur. Now, on an enormous 100″ screen size, motion artifacts can be even more prominent, and so the additional processing can represent a significant upgrade.
Hi-QLED mini-LED Pro
The Hi-QLED Mini-LED Pro employs a combination of Quantum Dot color technology with a Mini-LED backlight with local dimming. Mini-LED backlighting technology employs a much greater number of smaller LEDs, resulting in far more precise control over various areas of the screen, allowing bright highlights to be easily separated from darker areas. Quantum Dot technology further improves this as it is able to create a much wider and more saturated spectrum of colors. When combined, the two offer the 100-inch Hisense TV incredible contrast, deep saturated colors, and impressive HDR potential, especially with a 3,000 nits peak brightness and 3,000 local dimming zones. This opens up significant benefits with larger, more cinematic movies, more immersive games, and increased depth and realism to both dark and brightly lit scenes.
AI Ambient Light Sensor
The AI Ambient Light Sensor gives your TV the ability to adapt itself to the level of light in your room. It can automate the process by adjusting the picture characteristics based on what it sees, so you won’t need to adjust anything manually or have to constantly adjust the brightness depending on day or night. It will also deliver a more consistent viewing experience regardless of the weather or indoor lighting.
2.1.2 Multi-channel audio tuned with Dolby Atmos and AI Sound
The 2.1.2-channel audio system reproduces several main channels with a dedicated bass channel and upward-firing audio channels. Dolby Atmos introduces object-based spatial audio, with compatible soundtracks giving the impression of audio emerging from different directions, including from above. AI Sound reworks audio to suit specific content types. As a result, this TV’s integrated audio has more dimension and scale than an entry-level stereo TV system, meaning that sound for movies, games, and sports can feel more expansive and cinematic without it being just a surround system.
