The cost of SSDs has also significantly gone up in recent months, but there is always a good deal out there that you can avail yourself of for serious savings. We spotted the WD_Black 2TB SN850P SSD on sale on Amazon with 14% shaved off its asking price, which means that it’ll cost you $299.99 with this offer. This is a very reasonable price point in the current landscape for a 2TB SSD, and the best part is that it is compatible with the PS5.
So, you have full control over which system you install it in, as it’ll increase the storage and efficiency of a gaming PC or the PS5. That being said, the PS5 doesn’t have a lot of space, especially if you have a stock or slim model, as it only goes up to 1TB. So, this allows for a significant upgrade that increases the comfort, and we think that makes it worth checking out.

What we liked about this SSD deal
Gives a solid upgrade option for PS5 owners
The best aspect of this Gen4 SSD is that it is compatible with the PlayStation 5. Gaming console owners frequently run into the issue of running out of space, which means that they need to complete the game they are playing or uninstall another title to make room for another. The PS5 Pro comes with a 2TB SSD but doesn’t offer a significant performance difference, so upgrading the base PS5 with this solid 2TB SSD should keep you up and running without worrying about running out of space. You can also play games directly from the drive, which means you don’t need to transfer the games to the console.

Heatsink ensures uncompromised performance
It comes with an exclusive heatsink that should keep its temperature under control, which is crucial if you’re located in a hot region. This is beneficial for the PS5 and gaming PC, since both can run hot, but for the latter, you have more control as you can add more fans, choose a PC case with better airflow, and more. Its 7,300 MB/s read speed is also something that drives great efficiency across the board, and to put it simply, boot, load, and access times should see a significant reduction if you’re upgrading or putting together a new gaming PC.
