Punchy RTX 5070 gaming laptop knocked to its lowest price ever on Amazon with Prime Big Deal
Table of Contents
Prime Big Deal Days is coming to a close, and there are still some cracking discounts on RTX 50-series gaming laptops that are ripe for the picking! This Acer Nitro V 16S laptop, for instance, is down 15% and comes in at $1,401.99, and is at its lowest price ever on Amazon. Now that is a seriously good price for an RTX 5070 gaming laptop, and one of the most affordable options I’ve come across.
Here’s a quick run-through of what you’re getting in this configuration. The RTX 5070 here packs 8GB of GDDR7 and is a great mobile graphics card for QHD gaming primarily. It’s a punchier option to the RTX 5060, and that extends to its capabilities with creative workflows, making it a better choice if you want something for, say, gaming and video editing.
Acer Nitro V 16S AI Copilot+ PC Gaming Laptop, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop
The CPU here is the Ryzen AI 7 350, which is a CPU often found in more affordable 50-series gaming laptops. It features 8 cores and 16 threads, which gives it decent multitasking and productivity capabilities. It also has a 5GHz boost clock speed and 16MB L3 cache. For QHD gaming, it makes a lot of sense for the price, and isn’t completely over-specced for the RTX 5070’s capabilities.

The screen here is an IPS WQXGA display, which means you’re getting excellent viewing angles and crisp and clear picture quality, with a touch more vertical headroom than your typical QHD alternative. It has a 180Hz refresh rate, which is great if you want to game at high frame rates or play competitive titles. Color is 100% sRGB, which will make games look vibrant, rather than dull and flat. Having this color gamut in the sRGB space is also a win if you’re working mostly in web-based design, too.
Elsewhere in this build, you’ll find 16GB of DDR5 for better handling of asset-heavy titles and multitasking. It features a 1TB SSD, which is far more useful than your cheaper 512GB options, and will accommodate a decent-sized gaming library, too. There’s WIFI 6E for speedy wireless connection speeds, and even a 4-zone backlit keyboard for a touch of visual interest.
The AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 is an 8-core/16-thread mobile processor built on the “Krackan Point” architecture, featuring a 2.0 GHz base clock, a 5.0 GHz boost clock, and an integrated Radeon 860M graphics engine.
What we like about this Acer Nitro V 16S gaming laptop
Hits the sweet spot from a price-to-performance perspective
At under $1,500, you’re getting something that’s going to be great for gaming, loaded with modern Blackwell features, and capable of productivity and multitasking. What’s good about this laptop is that its configuration is entirely appropriate, rather than be particularly overkill in one area.
Its speedy QHD+ screen is a win for more than just gaming
Having 1600p resolution is good if you’re looking to enjoy games in rich detail and at higher textures, but it’s also excellent for everyday usage, watching content, reading text, and more intricate design work.
Streamlined design
It’s under 20mm thick and has a sleek metal chassis, but still manages to retain some visual interest with its RGB backlit keyboard. It’s a very good pick for taking on the go and being slightly more incognito, and as the centrepiece in a home gaming setup.
Who’s is this deal for?
If you want to put your spend towards the GPU of your laptop as a priority and a higher-resolution screen, this is a great option to go for at its current price. If you were to dip down a little to around $1,300, you’ll start to find slightly more balanced gaming/ creator RTX 5060 laptops, if that’s more your thing.
