Quick 270Hz and 1440p ROG gaming monitor nears its best price in latest Amazon deal
Table of Contents
The Asus ROG XG27ACMG is a 270Hz 27-inch gaming monitor at a relatively low price. It started the year at around $400 before its list price changed to $269. However, a new amount is now catching our eye. Thanks to a limited-time Amazon deal, the XG27ACMG has fallen close to its best-ever price and can be acquired for $229. That’s right on the cusp of entry-level 1440p pricing for a model that will do well in PC gaming and mixed use. Here’s why we like it.

Why we’d pick the ROG XG27ACMG
A rapid gaming monitor
The Asus ROG XG27ACMG supports a fast 270Hz refresh rate at 1440p, making this a standard-sized gaming monitor with enough speed to please even competitive gamers. Its 1ms response time is good, and it supports VRR (variable refresh rate) technology to minimize tearing and maximize fluidity (and ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync).
A solid daily monitor
Users and third-party reviewers note that the XG27ACMG is a good daily-use monitor. Text looks sharp, the panel shows 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and it supports Asus’ advanced gray-scale tracking technology for smoother color uniformity. It’s also a good monitor for fighting glare, since its panel is matte.

Compact and ergonomic
This monitor is a standard 27-inch model, but its design is relatively compact for its size, and it offers a stylish, trim appearance. It’s also highly ergonomic, with tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustment all present. And you can even move the monitor into a portrait position. That’s ideal for reading documents or specific second-screen needs like monitoring livestream chat.
What to consider before you buy
If you’re looking for a low-cost 27-inch monitor, we suggest this as a better pick at just over $200. You’ll get a higher refresh rate and more capability, which means a longer lifespan for 1440p gaming. However, if you’re keen on a monitor for content creation or image editing, spending a little more may open up access to a monitor with better contrast and HDR performance.
