Headline features here are its QHD resolution and 300Hz refresh rate, with ELMB Sync for even smoother motion clarity. Primarily, this monitor is for those who mostly play more competitive and fast-paced titles, but it’s also packs pretty impressive color coverage, too, coming in at 95% DCI-P3. That’s great for gaming, but it also makes this monitor a viable option for creatives, too.
ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQM5A 27 Inch 1440p 300Hz G-SYNC Gaming Monitor
What we like about this ASUS TUF 27-inch gaming monitor
Ideal size to resolution ratio for QHD
27 inches is the sweet spot for QHD and makes everything look crisp and sharp without the expense of 4K.
Excellent for competitive gaming
Its 300Hz refresh rate and 0.3ms response time are excellent for competitive gaming as is, but having ELMB Sync in the mix really takes this monitor to another level.

Fast IPS panel
It may not have as high contrast as your typical VA alternative, but it’s fast and responsive, and boasts very wide viewing angles, too.
Surprisingly good color
It’s not professional-level, but its 95% DCI-P3 color does narrow the gap. For general creative work, like editing video or photos, it’s a solid option.
Displaywidget Center makes it easy to customize your settings
Instead of messing around with a bunch of hidden buttons, you can simply use the Displaywidget Center to change settings with your mouse, and you can even import specific configurations.
Who is this deal for?
If you’re looking to stick to a budget and want something primarily for high FPS QHD gaming, this is an excellent option for the price. I’d say that this wouldn’t be my first choice for HDR or general contrast and brightness, but at this price, that’s usually the trade-off. Is it a deal killer? No, not really, especially if you’re playing competitive games, but if you’re more into cinematic, slower-paced titles and higher settings, I’d lean towards a mini-LED or lower-end OLED instead.
