Rapid P9 Express microSD card could be the Nintendo Switch 2 boost you need, at a seven-month low
Table of Contents
It’s not often we see a memory or storage-related deal that makes up sit up and do a double-take. However, this is one such deal for Switch 2 users wanting added storage for games and DLCs. Samsung’s rapid P9 Express microSDXC 512GB has just dropped to its lowest price in seven months on Amazon. That makes it a great time to buy, especially if you’re looking to stock up on games in the coming months. The deal price is $99, and that’s a big $50 (34%) saving – the best offer since April.
Why we’d pick the Samsung P9 Express 512GB microSDXC
A reliable brand
While, in theory, all microSD cards should be created equally, that’s not always the case. But owners report that this Samsung P9 Express card is highly reliable, and getting any Samsung product with a 34% discount is a bonus. For added reassurance in ongoing use and storage, picking up this specific microSDXC card makes a lot of sense.
Rapid and capacious
The Nintendo Switch 2 comes with 256GB of internal storage. This microSD card offers double that space, boosting (and effectively tripling) total Switch 2 storage from from 256GB to 768GB. That’s more storage space you have for games and DLCs. The card is fast, too, with sequential read speeds up to 800 MB/s – more than quick enough for loading content.

Backwards-compatible
The Samsung P9 Express 512GB microSDXC represents the next-generation of microSD cards, making it ideal for use in a modern console like the Switch 2. However, it’s also backwards compatible, so it’s a good pick for more flexible use in…say, devices like tablets, cameras and drones.
What to consider before you buy
Honestly, we don’t have much pause for thought on this deal. If you can find a better deal on the same card, or a card you’re equally happy will deliver performance and longevity, it may be a better choice. But with a seven-month low price, the speedy Samsung P9 Express 512GB microSDXC looks to be ideal for Switch 2 gamers with this discount.
