Table of Contents
If you’re looking for an affordable but premium grade smartphone, this refurbished iPhone 14 is ideal. Originally introduced in 2022, the iPhone 14 uses Apple’s A15 Bionic system-on-chip with a six-core CPU, five-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine. It remains fast enough for communication, photography, navigation, streaming, social applications and most mobile games. Although it’s renewed, it has Amazon’s ‘renewed premium’ guarantee of quality, which is the highest tier available – with a 1 year warranty and 90% of the battery life you could expect with a brand new model. This unlocked version of the smartphone comes with a bright 6.1-inch OLED display, reliable dual-camera system and MagSafe support, which still covers most everyday requirements comfortably. Pick it up fast for just $297!
Apple iPhone 14, 128GB – Unlocked (Renewed Premium)
The phone launched with iOS 16 but is not restricted to that version. It can be updated to a newer compatible iOS release through Apple’s normal software-update process. The version installed when the refurbished handset arrives will depend on how recently it was prepared. Read below for more information on the various features and specifications, or see the foot of this page for alternative smartphone deals.
What we like about this Apple iPhone 14 128GB unlocked ‘Renewed Premium’ smartphone
Renewed Premium condition requirements
Amazon describes Renewed Premium as its highest refurbished condition tier. Eligible devices must be professionally inspected, tested, cleaned and restored to full functionality before sale. As mentioned, battery must retain more than 90% of the capacity of a new equivalent device at the time of sale. That is a stronger requirement than the greater-than-80% threshold used for standard Renewed condition grades. Amazon also states that the screen and camera lenses should be free from cosmetic imperfections, while external surfaces should show no visible signs of wear under its specified inspection conditions. Accessories and packaging can be original or compatible replacements, so buyers should not assume the phone will arrive in an Apple retail box with genuine Apple cables. The listing includes a one-year Amazon Renewed Guarantee. This is separate from Apple’s original manufacturer warranty and should be checked against the exact order and seller details at checkout.

Still-capable A15 Bionic performance
The A15 Bionic contains two high-performance CPU cores and four efficiency cores. This design gives the phone responsive everyday performance while allowing lighter background tasks to use less power. Its five-core GPU can run most App Store games and graphics-intensive applications effectively. The chip also provides hardware acceleration for photography, video processing, augmented reality and machine-learning functions. Although the A15 is several generations behind Apple’s latest processors, it remains well supported by iOS applications. The more important long-term limitations are its 128GB storage capacity and lack of support for Apple Intelligence.
Apple’s current on-device generative-AI features require newer hardware, beginning with the iPhone 15 Pro series and supported later models. The iPhone 14 continues to provide conventional Siri and other iOS features but cannot run the complete Apple Intelligence feature set.
High-quality 6.1-inch OLED display
The Super Retina XDR display uses a 6.1-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2532 x 1170 and density of 460 pixels per inch. Text, photographs and interface elements therefore appear sharp at normal viewing distances. OLED technology provides deep blacks and a typical contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1. Apple specifies up to 800 nits of normal maximum brightness and 1,200 nits of peak brightness when displaying HDR content. The display supports HDR, True Tone and the wide P3 colour space. True Tone adjusts the screen’s white balance in response to surrounding light, while P3 support provides a wider colour range for compatible photographs and video.
Its refresh rate is limited to 60Hz. Scrolling and animations will not look as fluid as they do on newer 120Hz ProMotion iPhones or many contemporary Android devices.
Reliable dual-camera system
The rear camera array consists of a 12MP main camera and 12MP ultrawide camera. The main unit uses an f/1.5 aperture and sensor-shift optical image stabilisation, helping it gather light and compensate for hand movement. The ultrawide camera provides a 120-degree field of view for landscapes, interiors and group photographs. It offers a 2x optical zoom-out perspective, while digital magnification extends to 5x.
Apple’s Photonic Engine, Deep Fusion and Smart HDR 4 combine information from multiple exposures to improve detail, dynamic range and colour. Night mode assists in low light, while Photographic Styles apply customised processing during capture.
The absence of a dedicated telephoto camera does mean distant subjects will not retain the detail available from a Pro iPhone or a modern Android phone with optical zoom.
Strong video capabilities
The iPhone 14 records 4K video and supports Dolby Vision HDR. Sensor-shift stabilisation helps keep standard handheld footage steady, while Cinematic mode produces simulated depth effects and automated focus transitions.
Action mode applies more aggressive stabilisation for recording while walking or moving. It crops into the camera image and requires sufficient light, but it can produce smoother footage without a separate gimbal.
The 12MP TrueDepth front camera supports autofocus, 4K video, Night mode and Face ID. Autofocus makes it more dependable at different subject distances than fixed-focus front cameras.
Useful battery and charging options
Apple rates a new iPhone 14 for up to 20 hours of local video playback, 16 hours of streamed video or 80 hours of audio playback. Real-world endurance depends on battery health, signal quality, screen brightness, application use and background activity. Because this is a Renewed Premium phone, its battery should exceed 90% of original capacity when sold. Buyers should check Settings, Battery and Battery Health after setup to confirm the reported maximum capacity and whether iOS displays any service or verification warnings.
A compatible 20W or higher wired adapter can charge the phone to approximately 50% in around 30 minutes under suitable conditions. The device also supports MagSafe wireless charging at up to 15W and conventional Qi charging at up to 7.5W. It uses Apple’s Lightning connector rather than USB-C. This matters for buyers who want one charging standard across newer phones, laptops and accessories.
Compact and comfortable design
Apple’s official measurements are 5.78 inches high, 2.82 inches wide and 0.31 inches deep, with a weight of approximately 6.07 ounces. These dimensions correct the inaccurate 10-by-2-by-2.7-inch measurement shown in the retailer-generated product table. The aluminium frame, glass back and Ceramic Shield front provide a well-finished and relatively lightweight construction. The Midnight colour appears almost black but can show a subtle dark-blue tone under certain lighting. Its 6.1-inch format is easier to hold and pocket than Plus or Pro Max models. Buyers wanting a particularly small device should note that it is still larger than the discontinued iPhone mini line.
5G, Wi-Fi 6 and MagSafe
Wireless connectivity includes 5G, Gigabit LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and Ultra Wideband. MagSafe supports magnetically aligned chargers, stands, wallets, battery packs and other compatible accessories.
The exact cellular bands and SIM implementation depend on the phone’s regional model. US iPhone 14 units use dual eSIM and do not contain a physical SIM tray, whereas some international versions support a physical nano-SIM. An unlocked listing should accept compatible carriers, but buyers should still verify the IMEI after delivery. The device should not be reported lost, attached to an unpaid finance agreement or restricted by an activation lock.
Who should buy this iPhone 14 deal?
The Renewed Premium iPhone 14 is best suited to buyers who want an affordable entry into Apple’s ecosystem without accepting the lower battery standard of an ordinary refurbished handset. It remains effective for communication, photography, social applications, streaming and general mobile use. It is particularly appealing to users who prefer a manageable 6.1-inch phone and already own Lightning or MagSafe accessories. The OLED display, A15 processor and strong video features continue to compare well with many mid-range devices.
Buyers wanting USB-C, a 120Hz display, optical telephoto photography or Apple Intelligence should choose a newer or higher-tier model. Anyone purchasing this refurbished unit should immediately inspect its cosmetic condition, battery health, Face ID, cameras, speakers, microphones, charging functions, carrier status and Parts and Service History while the return protection is active.
