What we like about this Acer Nootro V gaming laptop
RTX 5060 mobile is an affordable and great way to game on the go
This graphics card packs 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM and boasts a wave of improvements over the previous gen, while remaining affordable, relative to gaming laptops that is. You can expect it to handle most modern titles at high settings in FHD, and with 5th-gen tensor cores powering MFG upscaling, you can get a significant performance boost, too.
Intel Core 7 processor 240H is a great budget pick that ticks all the boxes for the price
This CPU features 10 cores, 16 threads, a boost clock speed of 5.2GHz, and 24MB Intel Smart Cache. It’s often found paired with a more affordable gaming laptop like this one, and it’s a solid all-rounder for gaming, productivity, multitasking, and even handling moderately demanding creative workloads.
Impressive display for high refresh rate gaming
This WUXGA IPS screen is 180Hz, which is a good move from Acer that allows you to game at high, competitive-level framerates, but without being overkill for the RTX 5060 mobile’s capabilities, and unnecessarily expensive. It also has a notably low 3ms response time, which will reduce motion blur and ghosting significantly.
A bulky amount of RAM for smoother performance across the board
You’ve got 32GB of DDR5 here, which puts this a cut above your typical RTX 5060 laptop, which often features only 16GB. With this amount, gaming will have less microstuttering, and you’ll be able to work on larger files in creative applications quickly and efficiently.
