What we like about this SanDisk Optimus GX C50 storage expansion card
Plenty of storage
Video games these days are huge in size, and installing a few of them can quickly fill up the console’s internal SSD. However, this GX C50 expansion card offers 2TB of storage, thanks to which you can keep several more games installed at the same time. With this much storage, you won’t have to worry about constantly deleting old games to make room for something new.

Much better performance than a regular external drive
What makes this particular model worth getting is that it has been designed to match the requirements of Xbox Velocity Architecture. Because of that, optimized Xbox Series X/S games can run directly from the card. While you can use a normal USB hard drive or SSD to store games, optimized titles need to be transferred back to the console’s internal storage before they can be played. However, this is not the case with the GX C50.
Simple installation and free access to Xbox Game Pass
The best part is that installation is very simple. As it’s an officially licensed Xbox expansion card, it can be used directly with the console’s dedicated storage expansion slot. In other words, you won’t have to worry about opening the Xbox and replacing internal components. On top of that, SanDisk also includes a one-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate trial, which will give you access to a large collection of games for a limited time.
Who is this SanDisk Optimus GX C50 expansion card for?
The GX C50 expansion card is designed for users who want a solid storage solution for their Xbox Series X/S. As it’s officially licensed for the consoles, you won’t have to worry about facing any performance issues. Plus, 2TB of storage will be more than enough for most users, as you can keep several games installed at the same time. If you only need something to archive games, a standard drive might be a more suitable option. However, if you want to play games directly from the external storage without constantly moving them back and forth, then the GX C50 is the right option.
