What we like about this Skytech Azure RTX 5070 gaming PC
Its CPU is a smart pick for 1440p gaming without driving costs too high
With the Ryzen 5 7600, you’ve got something relatively cost-effective with 6 cores, 12 threads, a boost clock of 5.1GHz, and 32MB L3 cache, which is a strong pairing with the RTX 5070 for 1440p gaming in particular, without spending X3D prices. Importantly, it’s an AM5 processor, so you’ve got an excellent foundation to build for future upgrades.
Its RTX 5070 gives you the latest-gen features and powerful upscaling capabilities
Loads of GPUs are great for 1440p, but the RTX 5070 is a cut above the rest thanks to its newer, faster GDDR7 VRAM, 4th-gen ray tracing cores, and 5th-gen tensor cores; the latter of which power MFG upscaling for a smoother performance and higher perceived framerates. For high fps, smooth gaming with modern AAA titles, this graphics card is a winner.
PSU gives you flexibility for upgrades
This build features a robust 850W power supply, which should not only provide ample and steady power to its components but also allow for upgrades to more advanced components in the future, too.
Stylish PC case designed with airflow in mind
The Azure lineup offers high-end aesthetics with tempered glass panels, clean and organized cable management, and aRGB, and it’s also designed to complement its high-performance air cooler to keep everything working at its best, even under heavy and sustained loads.
16GB of DDR5 is borderline, but still good for gaming, and less expensive
RTX 5070 gaming PCs with 32GB of DDR5 can surge past the $1,500 mark, so while more is always more, at 16GB, you’re getting enough RAM to keep gaming performance smooth, without blowing your budget.
Should you buy this SKytech Azure RTX 5070 gaming PC?
If you’re looking for something great for 1440p with an appropriate CPU and an excellent foundation to build on, then this is a great PC to go for at its current low price. Due to its lower core count processor, I’d say for hybrid users looking for something for gaming performance with solid workstation and multitasking capabilities, you may want to check out a build with a mid-tier Intel processor, like the Intel i7-14700F, for example. These processor shave 20 cores and 28 threads, and while more expensive, will tick more boxes for hybrid usage.
