Table of Contents
The Sonos Era 100 SL is a compact wireless speaker designed for people who want Sonos sound without a built-in microphone. Despite its relatively small footprint, it uses two angled tweeters and a dedicated midwoofer to produce stereo separation, clear high frequencies, and stronger bass. Normally, this speaker is available for $189 on Amazon. However, for a limited time, you can save 21% and take it home for just $149, which happens to be its lowest price ever.

What we like about this Sonos Era 100 SL speaker
Two tweeters
Rather than using a single forward-facing tweeter, the Era 100 SL has two tweeters positioned at angles. This allows high-frequency sound to spread more widely instead of coming from one narrow point. The result is intended to provide stereo separation from a single compact enclosure. While two separate speakers can create a wider stereo image, this arrangement makes the Era 100 SL more spacious when it’s being used by itself.
WiFi, Bluetooth, and line-in options
The Era 100 SL gives you multiple ways to play audio. WiFi streaming is useful when the speaker remains connected to your home network and Sonos system. Bluetooth provides a quick alternative when you simply want to connect a compatible phone or another device directly.

Easy to expand later
You don’t have to build an entire Sonos system immediately. One Era 100 SL can work as a standalone speaker, and you can add more components later. Pairing two Era 100 SL units creates a more conventional stereo setup with dedicated left and right speakers. Alternatively, a pair can be integrated into a compatible Sonos home-theater system as rear speakers.
Who is this Sonos Era 100 SL speaker for?
The Sonos Era 100 SL is a good starting point if you want a compact Sonos speaker and don’t need microphone-based features. Its dual angled tweeters help create a wider presentation, while the midwoofer gives music enough low-end presence to make it useful as a primary speaker in smaller rooms.
