The C4 has a lot to offer, and LG’s C-series has long been recognized as some of the very best OLED TVs on the market. - OLED technology: What you’re getting here are self illuminating pixels, rather than your traditional backlit TV. That makes movies, shows, and games look far more lifelike than most standard TVs, and it’s one of the main reasons people love OLED, and are prepared to pay a premium for it too.
- Improved brightness: Once again, LG has included its brightness boosting technology, which as the name suggests, counters a common gripe with earlier OLED TVs, which were sometimes a little dim for people’s likings. What this also means is that you can have this TV in a well-lit room, and it should still be clear as day – great for rooms with big windows or daytime viewing.
- 144hz refresh rate: An absolute must if you’re using this for gaming, as it allows you to game at up to 144 frames per second. That’s excellent for racing and sports games, as well as first-person shooters.

As for the TV itself, the LG C5 will be heading our way, but there’s not way this TV is going to become ‘old’ anytime soon. Even the C2 is still a hugely popular choice for many, with some even preferring it to the C3 from a ‘bang for your buck’ perspective.
You may also want to hold fast till the Spring Sales, which are heading our way shortly. It may drop lower then, but there’s no guarantee, and personally, I don’t think it’ll be too much lower than it already is – but that’s just a hunch.
