What we like about this Stormcraft Phantom RTX 5070 gaming PC
An excellent graphics card for 1440p with the latest features
The RTX 5070 is a great graphics card to go for if you’re after something for 1440p gaming at max settings, but also want to have the latest GDDR7 VRAM, 4th-gen ray tracing cores, and 5th-gen tensor cores, courtesy of Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture.
High-end, recently released processor
Intel’s recently released Core Ultra 7 270K Plus is a powerhouse for gaming and productivity, boasting a hefty 24 cores, 5.5Ghz boost clock speed, and a large 36MB L3 cache.
It’s a superior choice across the board to the Intel Core Ultra 7 265K, and it’s a quality pick for gaming at high fps with low frame latency, handling demanding creative workflows, multitasking, and more.
High-speed DDR5 RAM
You’ve got 6000MHz DDR5 RAM here and 32GB of it, which is a big win for both gaming and non-gaming usage. For gaming, you’re going to be getting reduced microstuttering and smoother overall gameplay, especially with asset-heavy titles like many open-world and simulators.
It’s also going to give you a load of headroom for making edits on large files in applications like Blender, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro, and allow for speedy multitasking, streaming, and running background applications without bringing your system to a crawl.
Stylish PC case with powerful cooling
The Stormcraft Phantom lineup always delivers on looks, so you’re getting something that’s really going to elevate your setup to a whole new level. The good news is that it’s also designed with optimal airflow and cooling in mind, featuring a 360mm AIO liquid CPU cooler and seven aRGB fans, to keep everything running at its best, even under heavy and sustained loads.
Should you get this deal?
For under $2,000, this is one of the more premium-priced RTX 5070 gaming PCs, and that’s really down to its newer, very high-end Intel processor. This is going to be great if you’re looking for a powerful gaming and workstation PC, and need a processor that’s going to be able to handle pretty much anything you can throw at it.
On the flip side, you can get cheaper than this if it’s just gaming performance you’re after, if you opt for a Ryzen X3D CPU instead, potentially something like a Ryzen 7 7800X3D if you want to keep costs lower. At around $2,000, it’s also worth looking out for RX 9070 XT builds, too, as some lower-end models can be found at this price point when discounted.
