Why you should consider the AMD RX 7900XT over an NVIDIA GPU

The XFX Speedster AMD RX 7900XT is just under the best AMD GPU currently available which is the RX 7900XTX. It provides 20GB of VRAM, just 4GB under the XTX variant, meaning 4K gaming at max settings is possible here.

In circumstances where games are very demanding, you’ll be able to utilize AMD’s Fluid Motion Frames and FSR 3 for improved performance. This is AMD’s equivalent to NVIDIA’s Frame Generation but is yet to be officially implemented in titles such as Cyberpunk 2077 or Dragon’s Dogma 2.

When it comes to ray tracing, NVIDIA’s RTX GPUs outshine AMD’s, and that is the same case this time around with the RX 7900XT. While it is still manageable especially when using the aforementioned Fluid Motion Frames and FSR 3, NVIDIA’s DLSS stands as the popular option.

Possibly the biggest appeal here is how much cheaper AMD’s GPU is in comparison to NVIDIA’s. The likes of the RTX 4080 is over $1000, which is less approachable compared to this RX 7900XT despite performing better.

Is the price drop reasonable?

With the lowest price ever at the figure of $719.99, the current price is close enough with only a $20.61 difference.

Since there is very little price difference between the two, you can rest assured that you’re purchasing at the right time. This GPU will be enough to power your games at the 4K resolution for years to come.
