Table of Contents
This massive TCL 75-inch TV is currently at its best price ever on Amazon at $679.99, and it’s a seriously good value mini-LED option.
TCL is always a bit of a winner when it comes to bang-for-your-buck TVs, but this one in particular stands out as it boasts advanced gaming features, anti-Haloing technology, extensive HDR support, and, of course, a stunning mini-LED display with vibrant color and excellent brightness and contrast.
If you want something large, don’t want to skimp on picture quality and features, and don’t fancy paying OLED prices, then this deal is well worth a look.

What makes this a good deal?
Massive and mini-LED for a great price
At this size, you can find cheaper, but they often won’t boast mini-LED picture quality, which is where this TV stands out from a price-to-performance perspective. With mini-LED TVs like this, you’re getting superior color, contrast, and brightness to your typical LED display, making for much more lifelike and nuanced picture quality.
Halo Control System is a win with more affordable mini-LED TVs
TCL has its own Halo Control System, which uses advanced local dimming to reduce haloing (where you can get a glow around bright objects on screen in high contrast scenes). This is a must-have, at least in my opinion, with a mini-LED TV, and it’s not always the case at lower price points.
Its refresh rate is seriously high
This TV has a 144Hz refresh rate, which allows you to game at up to 144fps in 4K. Not only is that great for watching fast-paced content, like sports, but it’s a massive win for playing games on high-end consoles and PCs.
It packs FreeSync Premium Pro for super smooth HDR gaming
This is typically found in the best gaming monitors, so having it in a TV at this price point is great to see. This essentially reduces lag when gaming in HDR, and also prevents screen tearing, ensuring on-screen movement looks fluid and smooth.
Extensive HDR support has you covered with films, gaming, live broadcasts, and more
It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG, which essentially means that this TV can accept a very wide range of HDR metadata from different sources and showcase it with enhanced color, contrast, and brightness. Dolby Vision, especially, is a game-changer for movie nights.
Who is this deal for?
At this price, this TV is what I’d say is a strong example of a mid-range 75-inch option, that’s ideal for those looking to grab something large, with better than standard picture quality, and advanced features for gaming, all without spending OLED prices.
Mini-LED TVs are also excellent for well-lit rooms, and in my view are often a better option than OLEDs, which can be fairly dim, especially with slightly older models.
On the other side, if you were looking for something with the super inky blacks of OLED, which I must admit look incredible in lower-light settings, I’d say your best alternative would be a slightly older OLED TV, but at 75 inches, it’s going to be a fair whack more expensive.
This SAMSUNG 77-Inch Class OLED S84F Series would be a good alternative at under $1,500 on Amazon, and for more 75-inch TV deals, be sure to check out our top picks below.
