This HP Victus RTX 4050 gaming laptop has dropped to its lowest price ever on Amazon

This HP Victus gaming laptop has crashed to a new record low on Amazon, through PCOnline US, and is now going for $1,149.00. That’s not a bad price at all for a ‘budget-friendly’ RTX 4050 gaming laptop, which packs a decent processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a pretty impressive, high-refresh-rate FHD display.
First off, the RTX 4050 packs 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM and is essentially a solid card for FHD gaming on medium to high settings. It’s built on last-generation’s Ada Lovelace architecture, rather than Blackwell. That’s paired with an Intel Core i5-13420H, which features 8 cores (4P + 4E), 12 threads, a boost clock speed of 4.6GHz, and 12MB L3 cache. This is a more budget-friendly, entry-level combination, but still one that’s going to be great for gaming, everyday productivity, and light content creation. With 16GB of DDR4, you’ve also got a good amount of headroom for multitasking and for keeping creative workflows feeling smooth, too.

It’s a fair whack cheaper than most RTX 5060 gaming laptops
If you want something for FHD gaming, but don’t necessarily need something to handle higher settings, then an RTX 4050 gaming laptop like this makes quite a lot of sense from a price-to-performance perspective.
Good for gaming and everyday usage
This is a decent laptop to go for if you’re looking for something for productivity that also unlocks gaming on the go. For the price, it’s arguably a decent alternative to having a work laptop and a handheld PC, for instance.
Things to consider before buying
Of course, an RTX 5060 gaming laptop is going to have more VRAM and Blackwell features, like MFG, which can help it punch above its weight class. If you want one with a decent processor, you’re going to be looking at around $1,600 in my experience, but these will be superior across the board.
For casual gaming and productivity, an RTX 4050 gaming laptop like this one is more than good enough, though.
