This LG 55″ mini-LED TV is great value at its 90-day low price on Amazon
Table of Contents
This LG 55-inch mini-LED TV is at its 90-day low price right now on Amazon, coming in at $379.99 with 24% off its list price. Now, this is a very interesting TV, as it’s designed to be more accessible from a pricing perspective, but it doesn’t scale back in many of the most important areas for most people.
First off, since it’s mini-LED, you’re getting much better contrast, brightness, and color volume to your typical LED/ LCD model you’d find at lower prices. This is a big win, especially if you’re watching movies and gaming, as better contrast tends to make everything look far more lifelike and cinematic. Speaking of HDR, this TV also impresses, as it has a unique feature in the form of HDR10 Pro. This feature analyzes HDR10 content in realtime, and dynamically adjusts picture settings for the best HDR presentation possible. It’s not quite the same as a TV being HDR10+ or Dolby Vision compatible, but it’s similar in some senses, without being overly expensive.
LG Amazon Exclusive 55-Inch Class QNED AI 4K TV
When it comes to gaming, there’s a minor caveat. This TV is 60Hz native, not 120Hz, which means it’s better suited to casual gaming at up to 60fps rather than pairing with a high-end PC or PS5 Pro, for instance. Again, this helps keep overall costs down, as the leap from 60Hz to 120Hz usually comes at quite the premium. That being said, this TV still has features designed to improve your gaming experience. It’s got ALLM and FreeSync Premium, which reduce input lag and screen tearing effectively, resulting in a much smoother gaming experience.

Why buy this LG 55-inch mini-LED TV
A level-up from your typical ‘everyday viewing’ options
You could grab something cheaper, but having mini-LED picture quality, gaming features like ALLM and FreeSync Premium, and a more advanced processor for picture optimization is well worth paying a little extra for.
It’s the ideal size for most spaces
At 55 inches, it’s large enough to provide a good sense of immersion, and small enough that it won’t completely take over your chosen space.
Mini-LED is even better for well-lit rooms
With more LEDs, you’ve got higher nit brightness, which can come in very handy if you’re watching using this TV is day time conditions or rooms with multiple windows.
Things to consider before buying
This is a great TV, but it is an entry-level mini-LED model. If you want something with even better picture quality, I’d advise looking at options with a very high number of dimming zones, and potentially more advanced processors. Personally, I think TCL has some excellent options that can be relatively affordable, too. Check out our top 55-inch TV deals below to see what’s currently on sale.
