This Acer Nitro V 16 gaming laptop is back at its best price ever on Amazon, coming in at $1,199.99. In terms of RTX 5060 laptop prices, that’s definitely on the lower side, but the great thing about this laptop is that it still ticks all the most important boxes without scaling back too much in any particular area.

What you’ve got here is a capable graphics card for FHD/FHD+ gaming with 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM. Since it’s built on Blackwell architecture, it also benefits from 4th-gen ray tracing cores, 5th-gen tensor cores, and exclusive features like DLSS and MFG, which can help it punch above its weight, too. On the CPU front, you’ve got a Ryzen AI 5 340 processor. It’s a smart pick for the RTX 5060 mobile and not over-specced, with a decent 4.8GHz boost clock speed, 16MB L3 cache, 6 cores, and 12 threads.
For RAM, it features 16GB of DDR5, which is solid for handling most games smoothly and, again, a smart pick from a pricing perspective. Storage is a little on the smaller side, at 512GB, but that’s not the end of the world if you’re playing a few games on rotation.

On the screen, which is a 16-inch WUXGA IPS 180Hz display. I’d say that’s pretty much the ideal type of screen you’d want for an RTX 5060 laptop, as it’s designed with gaming in mind, over, say, providing professional monitor color accuracy. Since it’s an IPS, you’ve getting wider viewing angles, and it also comes in at 300 nits of brightness, allowing you to see it clearly in well li environments.
For the price, it makes a lot of sense for those who don’t want to shell out on features designed more for gamer/ creator laptops, like 32GB of DDR5, a higher core count CPU, and a higher-end mini-LED or OLED display with QHD+ resolution. The latter usually comes in closer to the $1,600 mark or above, in my experience, making this Acer Nitro option a much more accessible alternative.
Things to consider before buying
If you’re looking for other more budget-friendly RTX 5060 laptops, I’d recommend checking out some of the offerings from ASUS TUF gaming, too. They’re quite similar in the way that they prioritize gaming performance, without being overkill when it comes to their configurations for the GPU. They’re normally on sale, so be sure to check out our top gaming laptop deals below to see what’s out there.
