What made this gaming laptop stand out
Intel Core i9-14900HX is a performance beast
At the core, you’ll find the 14900HX, which is a mobile processor with desktop-level firepower, giving this laptop more than enough processing power to handle video editing, data compression, gaming, and intense multitasking. The high core and thread count with the big.LITTLE architecture enables different cores to come at the front foot depending on the task. For example, browsing and documentation are handled by E-cores, and for anything demanding, the P-cores take over. This allows for good energy efficiency, as it isn’t always pulling a lot of power.

That being said, this gaming laptop supports heavy processing, as the CPU and GPU aren’t power-constrained, and it can deliver up to 230W of power, which may fluctuate depending on the task.
Gaming and content creation made easy with the RTX 5080
The GPU can get up to 175W, which should give it everything it needs to make quick work of anything you put in front of it. This card can handle 4K gaming without any issues, and running games at QHD+ is easy for it. Besides that, the CUDA cores, combined with 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM, make it perfect for heavy parallel processing. More VRAM allows heavier data to be stored and processed simultaneously and quickly, which is common in tasks like running LLMs, 3D rendering, 4K gaming, and more.
QHD+ 300Hz display is ideal for competitive gaming
The standout aspect of this gaming laptop is the 2560 x 1600 display with a 300Hz refresh rate. This is made for competitive gaming, and while the RTX 5080 might not be able to hit 300 FPS in some titles, AI upscaling should cover for that so that you can experience what this display is capable of. The 100% sRGB coverage gives it good color accuracy, and any creative task should be handled with great efficiency.
Next-level upgradability and other features
32GB DDR5 RAM and a 2TB SSD are already great additions for solid performance, but you have the option to take it to the next level as they can be upgraded to 64GB and 4TB, respectively. This is the final form of this gaming beast and will give the entire system a huge boost across the board. Since the components inside are high-end, the cooling system in place caters to that.
Copper tubes, quick cooling fans, and reconstruction 3D heat pipes all work together to keep this gaming laptop cool during sustained and heavy processing. This is an amazing aspect since cooling can’t be compromised in a compact machine, as overheating can bring the performance down.
