It looks like Prime Big Deal Days is a great time to score a Samsung Odyssey gaming monitor for less, and if you’re in the market for a premium OLED, then this deal is well worth checking out. This Samsung Odyssey G8 4K gaming monitor is now 38% off its list price and down to its lowest price on Amazon, through Walts TV. It’s coming in at $699.99, which is not bad at all considering this is a very premium offering.
SAMSUNG 27-inch Odyssey QD-OLED G8
What you’ve got here, first and foremost, is a 4K 27-inch monitor with a QD-OLED panel and a 240Hz refresh rate. This is a strong combination for both fast-paced, high-FPS gaming and slower-paced, more immersive and cinematic play. Its QD-OLED panel is going to provide excellent contrast and deep inky blacks, which makes everything from games to films look more lifelike and realistic. At 240Hz and with a low 0.03ms response time, you’re going to be able to game at competitive frame rates, with little in the way of motion blur or ghosting. Gaming performance is also supported by FreeSync Premium Pro, which is designed to reduce screen tearing, and also improve HDR performance in-game.
And I always quack on about OLEDs aren’t just good for gaming; they’re also brilliant for creative professionals. It has 99% DCI-P3 color, which puts it close to a professional monitor and means that you can use it for critical and color-sensitive edits. It’s especially good if you’re working in film or video editing. Its 4K resolution also lends itself very well to intricate design work, reading text clearly, and more.
