What you need to know about this TV
- OLED: This is basically the top-tier when it comes to picture quality, and utilizes self-illuminating pixels to produce best-in-class contrast and picture quality. This is great for making images look more life-like, and looks especially good when viewing in lower-light environments.
- 4K AI upscaling: Since much of the content we watch is actually not native 4K resolution, it has to be upscaled so it looks better – especially on larger screens. Samsung uses AI upscaling, which helps to make lower resolution sharper – a must have.
- Dolby Atmos and Object tracking sound lite: Both must-have’s if you’re planning on using this TV with surround sound, or by itself. Dolby Atmos is basically a surround sound technology, and allows you to create more of a three-dimensional soundscape. Object tracking sound is where sound will come out of the area of the TV in line with what’s going on on-screen. Think of car zipping from right to left, and the sounds following, for example.
- Motion Xcelerator 144hz: Another technical trick that helps smoothen out on screen movement. It’s good for gaming and watching sports.
- Easy OS: This TV uses Tizen OS, which is a super streamlined, easy to use operating system, that makes navigating this TV a breeze.
- Real Depth Enhancer: This is an AI technology that essentially detects where you would focus your vision on, then adjusts the contrast in the foreground – which is apparently how we see in real life. This is another trick to amp up the realism, and similar to what Sony does in its TVs too.
Who’s this deal for?
For the price, you’re getting a lot with this TV, and I’d say its for anyone who’s looking to find something top-tier, but for under $1300. It ticks all the boxes for everyday usage, streaming, and watching movies, and it’s pretty good when it comes to gaming, if you wanted to connect your PS5 or Xbox Series X. There are TVs that make a big song and dance out of having extremely low latency, low response times, and adaptive sync technology to reduce screen tearing, which may be more appealing option if gaming is going to be your primary usage. That’s why I’d say this TV is more for those who watch content the majority of time, but also game too.
We’ll be back with you soon with more deals, so stay tuned!
