More importantly, the extra speed will be clear if you’re upgrading from a SATA SSD. SATA III SSD drives may offer a throughput high of around 600MB/s – ten times slower.

- Reliability: Endurance rated for 320 TBW, meaning that if you continuously filled the 1TB capacity daily, you’d have 320 days before meeting the requirement. As such this drive isn’t best suited for regular, large, writes and re-writes.
- Warranty: Kingston provides a limited 3-year warranty for this drive.

Older computers, particularly desktop computers, regularly use SATA SSD drives. While power-efficient, SATA drives have now been surpassed in pure performance. NVMe drives offer superior speed and can be used on motherboards featuring M.2 connectors, which sit in systems form even a decade ago.
